Abstract: Some demonstrative embodiments include apparatuses, devices, systems and methods of communicating a short Sector Sweep (SSW) packet. For example, an apparatus may include circuitry and logic configured to cause a first wireless station to generate a short Sector Sweep (SSW) packet including at least a packet type field, a countdown field, a short SSW feedback field, and a direction field, the packet type field including a value to indicate a Short SSW packet type, the countdown field including a counter value to indicate a number of remaining short SSW packet transmissions, the direction field to indicate whether transmission of the short SSW packet is from a beamforming initiator or a beamforming responder; and to transmit the short SSW packet to a second wireless station over a directional frequency band during beamforming training between the first and second wireless stations.

Abstract: Techniques for power saving by remote wireless mobile devices are provided, in particular by stations (STAs) during downlink (DL) multiple-user multiple-input and multiple-output (MU-MIMO) transmissions in an Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) 802.11ay network when reverse direction (RD) transmissions are either enabled and not enabled. Various embodiments enable each STA in a group of STAs to determine an order in which the STAs are requested to send a block acknowledgement (BACK) and which STAs will be granted an RD transmission. Further, a duration of each RD transmission is provided to each STA. Based on the provided information, each STA can determine times to enter a power saving mode. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, and computer-readable media for a wireless communication device switching between lower energy and higher energy wireless communication techniques are disclosed. The wireless communication device includes processing circuitry to: receive a packet in accordance with a lower energy wireless peer-to-peer (P2P) network communication technique from a service provider wireless device, wherein the packet indicates one or more services provided by the service provider wireless device. The processing circuitry may be further to: determine to switch to a higher energy wireless P2P communication technique to communicate with the service provider wireless device based on a determination that a target service is provided by the service provider wireless device. The processing circuitry may be further to: perform a connectivity setup with the provider wireless device to use the target service in accordance with the higher energy wireless P2P communication technique.

Abstract: For example, a first Enhanced Directional Multi-Gigabit (DMG) (EDMG) station (STA) may be configured to exchange first and second Beam Refinement Protocol (BRP) setup frames with a second EDMG STA to initiate a BRP Transmit Sector Sweep (TXSS) over an aggregated channel bandwidth including an aggregation of a primary channel and a secondary channel in a frequency band above 45 GHz; during the BRP TXSS, transmit a plurality of BRP frames to the second EDMG STA over the primary channel and the secondary channel according to an EDMG control mode; determine a transmit beamforming configuration over the aggregated channel bandwidth based on BRP feedback from the second EDMG STA; and transmit an EDMG Physical Layer (PHY) Protocol Data Unit (PPDU) to the second EDMG STA over the aggregated channel bandwidth based on the transmit beamforming configuration.

Abstract: For example, an EDMG STA may be configured to generate a plurality of spatial streams of an EDMG PPDU; map the plurality of spatial streams to a respective plurality of pairs of space-time streams according to an STBC scheme by mapping a first data sequence of a spatial stream to a first symbol in an odd numbered space-time stream, mapping a second data sequence of the spatial stream to a second symbol in the odd numbered space-time stream, mapping a sign inverted complex conjugate of the second data sequence to a first symbol in an even numbered space-time stream, and mapping a complex conjugate of the first data sequence to a second symbol in the even numbered space-time stream; and transmit a transmission comprising the plurality of pairs of space-time streams over a channel bandwidth in a frequency band above 45 Gigahertz (GHz).
