摘要: The present invention describes a delivery method and system that enables deliveries to arrive at destination within the time period specified by the entity responsible for ordering the delivery. This invention provides an initial supplier of an item and also an alternate supplier of the item. The alternate supplier is preferably located in the proximity of the destination location. During the delivery process, the progress of the shipment is tracked and periodic determinations are made as to whether the shipment will be delivered at the predetermined time. If during the delivery process, there is a determination that the shipment will not reach the designated destination at the predetermined time, the alternate supplier will be contacted to supply to the item to be delivered to destination. Since, this alternate supplier is in close proximity to the destination location, this supplier should be able to deliver the order within the specified time period.

摘要: A method, program, and system for managing traffic flow on a road system are provided. The invention comprises associating a user fee with a particular lane on a road, monitoring all vehicles within the lane, and charging the user fee to all vehicles within the lane. In one embodiment, monitoring vehicles within the designated lane is done by means of radio frequency A identification (RFID) readers which interrogate transponders within a vehicle and identify the driver or vehicle. The driver/vehicle is associated with a user account and the user fee is charged directly to the account.

摘要: An addressing method and a system for assigning network addresses such that access to a network resource remains local. This is accomplished by allocating a local network address in favor of a remote network address. A process executing on a processor makes a request for a network address. A local network address is located in memory of the processor executing the process. The local network address is assigned, if available. Otherwise, a remote network address located in the memory of another processor is assigned. Preferably, the network address request contains information about on which processor the requesting process is running. Using this information, the present invention is able to select a network address that resides in the local memory of that processor. The network address allocation system of the present invention includes a network address allocator that uses the method of the present invention as outlined above.

摘要: A method, system and program for managing customization of projects prior to manufacture in an electronic commerce system is provided. An order system distributes a project offer to potential customers. A selection of potential customers return orders in response to the project offer, wherein each order includes customized selections by the customer. Manufacture of the project is then customized according to the order responses, such that a selection of potential customers control customization of a project.

摘要: The present invention is a method and system for facilitating a transaction among a buyer and two or more sellers. The invention uses a computer system and a communications network such as the Internet. Typically the transaction will involve the sale of a bundle of items, including goods or services (or both), and a combination of e-coupons or other incentives such as price discounts. The invention involves defining a bundle of items, identifying a buyer, communicating to the buyer information about the bundle, tracking the buyer's purchases of items in the bundle, and providing combined incentives to the buyer for purchasing items in the bundle. A buyer may request a predefined bundle, or a customized bundle. One aspect of the present invention is a method for providing bundled incentives to a buyer via a communications network. Another aspect of the present invention is a system for executing the method of the present invention. A third aspect of the present invention is as a set of instructions on a computer-usable medium, or resident in a computer system, for executing the method of the present invention.

摘要: A method and implementing system are provided in which information regarding the preparation and sale of food products and the ingredients and supplies used in the processing of such products, is recorded and used to improve the efficiency with which the food processing business is operated. In an exemplary embodiment, a database is maintained at a restaurant server for tracking food product sales, ingredients inventories, and historical demand requirements for the food products. All of the information is processed and correlated to provide information concerning food preparation and ingredient ordering schedules, as well as measuring and limiting measured food waste which results from normal operations of the food processing business.

摘要: The present invention is embodied in a system and method for enhancing system privacy and security identification of electronic devices and computer systems. In general, in one embodiment, the present invention issues user configurable unique identification numbers (IDs) with collision free mapping for electronic and computer devices. The originally issued IDs are generated with sufficient distance between each other to ensure collision free generation when users later transform the original IDs into new respective unique IDs.

摘要: A system, method and program of the invention enables bartering to be carried out over a network of computer systems. A specific bartering protocol language enables a specification of a needs list of needed items that a user desires to acquire and a specification of an availability list of available items that a user desires to use in trading for one or more of the needed items. Each needed item can be associated with a priority indicating a level of priority that a user has in acquiring the needed item. The needs list may also contain a range of near equivalent items having an associated priority indicating a user's desire to accept a given near equivalent item in lieu of a given needed item. The system performs a search of available items for a match with each of the needed items based upon the needed item's priority wherein the higher priority items are attempted to be matched before lower priority items are matched. The searching is performed first within a same bartering system and performed second across a different bartering system if no match is found during the search within the same bartering system.
