Abstract: A computer-implemented method includes detecting, by one or more sensors of a robot, one or more characteristics of a current point on a surface on which the robot travels. A feature vector is constructed to describe the current point on the surface on which the robot travels, based on the one or more characteristics. The feature vector is mapped to a confidence level that a hazard exists at the current point on the surface. It is determined that the confidence level meets a threshold confidence. An alert is issued in association with the current point on the surface, based on the confidence level meeting the threshold confidence.

Abstract: A method deploys a road safety flare near a faulty self-driving vehicle (SDV). One or more processors detect a driving problem severity level for a faulty SDV. One or more processors assess environmental conditions at the location of the faulty SDV. One or more processors determine an opportune position for deploying the road safety flare based on the environmental conditions at the location of the faulty SDV and then deploy, according to directions from the faulty SDV, a road safety flare at the opportune position.

Abstract: Disclosed is a novel system and method for indicating a probability of errors in multimedia content. The system determines a user state or possible user distraction level. The user distraction level is indicated in the multimedia content. In one example, work is monitored being performed on the multimedia content. Distractions are identified while the work is being monitored. A probability of errors is calculated in at least one location of the multimedia content by on the distractions that have been identified. Annotations are used to indicate of the probability of errors. In another example, the calculating of probability includes using a function F(U,S,P) based on a combination of: i) a determination of user state (U), ii) a determination of sensitivity (S) of user input, and iii) a determination of user characteristics stored in a profile (P).

Abstract: A system for producing a computer program code collaboratively using blockchain includes a plurality of computer nodes, the plurality of computer nodes forming a distributed network for collaborative work. Each of the computer nodes communicates directly with the others, and is operated by a user in accordance with a common smart contract. Contributions of each of the users are entered into the blockchain at respective computer nodes as blocks when transactions have been completed in accordance with the following steps: writing code for inclusion in said computer software program; submitting the code for the computer software program to the distributed network to complete a transaction to add a block with the code to the blockchain of the computer software program; detecting by the distributed network of the submission of code for the computer software program; and adding the code as a block to the blockchain of the computer software program.

Abstract: A region of interest is determined by a location and an orientation of a device, wherein the region of interest is proximate to the device. A set of locations of items of interest is determined with respect to the region of interest. A background and a first set of representations against the background is presented on the device display according to the location and orientation of the device. Each representation is of a respective item of interest located in the region of interest. The region of interest is adjusted with a pinch gesture on the background, however, the presenting of the background does not change in response to the pinch gesture. Instead, the set of locations of one or more items of interest is determined with respect to the adjusted region of interest, and a second set of representations is presented against the background. Each representation of a respective item of interest is located in the adjusted region of interest.
