    摘要: An aberration correcting apparatus and an optical pickup apparatus using this apparatus, in which a spherical aberration based on a thickness error of an optical disc substrate can be preferably eliminated and a thickness error permission range of the optical disc substrate can be widened even if an objective lens of a high numerical aperture is used. The aberration correcting apparatus is arranged on an optical axis of an optical path in an optical apparatus, the aberration correcting apparatus comprises a pair of light transmitting substrates each of which is arranged so as to intersect perpendicularly to the optical axis, wherein at least one of the light transmitting substrates is held rotatably around the optical axis, each of the light transmitting substrates has distributions of optical path lengths which mutually complementarily decrease or increase within a predetermined range on a concentric circle in which the optical axis is set to the center, and the distribution of the total optical path length of the pair of light transmitting substrates is uniformly changed within the predetermined range on the concentric circle in which the optical axis is set to the center in accordance with the rotation of the light transmitting substrate, thereby applying a phase difference to the transmitted light beam.

    摘要: A magnetic optical disk player comprises a turn table for turning a magnetic optical disk, a recording head and an erasing head movable along two different radial directions of the turn table respectively, and bias magnets for generating bias magnetic fields distributed along moving areas of the recording and erasing heads and having the directions opposite to each other, wherein the recording head and the erasing head each includes an objective, movable coils coupled with the objective, and drive magnet for generating a drive magnetic field interlinking the movable coils in the same direction as that of the bias magnetic fields. The directions of the bias magnetic fields for erasing and recording heads are opposite to each other. The magnetic fields for generating electromagnetic forces to drive the objective in the erasing head and the recording head are also opposite to each other. The bias magnetic field and the magnetic field for generating the electromagnetic force are additively coupled with each other in each head.

    摘要: An opto-magnetic disk unit is constructed so that predetermined areas existing in the front of the unit recording areas can be detected.     摘要: In an optical pick-up unit, there is provided with a structure for supporting a holder holding at least an objective lens through a spring support assembly so that said holder is movable in both of a focusing direction and a tracking direction, carried on a carriage capable of traveling at a high speed in the tracking direction, a spring constant of the spring support assembly is so set as to be larger in the tracking direction than in the focusing direction, whereby an amount of a positioning error of the objective lens produced in the tracking direction when the carriage is driven at a high speed is reduced. As a result, by the thus reduced amount of the positioning error of the objective lens, the optical pick-up unit is improved in access time in comparison with the conventional optical pick-up unit.
