摘要： A digital phase-locked loop apparatus using FSK includes a PFD detecting phase differences between a reference clock and a frequency-divided signal, and a first adder for generating first digital control codes by adding first digital codes, second digital codes, and channel frequency codes including channel information to each other, the first digital codes being converted from time differences between first and second pulses. The apparatus further includes a digital filter correcting errors of the first digital control codes to generate second digital control codes, a DCO for varying an oscillating frequency in accordance with a digital tuning word based on the second digital control codes, and a dual modulus division unit dividing the oscillating frequency into a frequency-divided signal.

摘要： A method for allocating distributed Medium Access Control (MAC) resources in a Wireless Personal Area Network (WPAN) includes calculating an acknowledgement overhead; calculating a Medium Access Slot (MAS) overhead depending on a payload length of a frame; calculating a transfer rate; calculating a number of frame bits to be transmitted; and calculating a first number of MASs. Thereby, the method optimized a final number of MASs required per superframe. Further, a distributed MAC resource allocation apparatus includes a MAC client for determining a resource allocation scheme and an amount of resources, and for sending a request to a MAC resource management unit; a MAC physical layer for providing a received power level or the like to the MAC resource management unit; and the MAC resource management unit for determining a payload length or the like and for allocating wireless resources to devices connected to the WPAN.

摘要： An apparatus and method for local area communication between Bluetooth and MBOA-MAC devices is provided. A new Bluetooth Protocol Adaptation Layer (PAL) is implemented to adapt a Bluetooth host module and an MBOA-MAC to each other so as to enable use of conventional legacy Bluetooth applications in a wireless network environment employing a WiMedia Multiband OFDM Alliance (MBOA)-based Media Access Control (MAC) layer. This allows devices equipped with a conventional Bluetooth host module to perform high-speed data communication based on MBOA-MAC, thereby increasing the efficiency of utilization of networks.

Further, a communication method includes receiving a heterogeneous wireless station signal; converting the heterogeneous wireless station signal into tone-nulling elements based on a predetermined level; receiving the tone-nulling elements, and generating an ultra-wideband signal or reducing an output of the ultra-wideband signal; and changing a time frequency number of the ultra-wideband signal based on the values of the tone-nulling elements to selectively shift to another band of the band group or another band group.

摘要： An FIR filter of a DS-CDMA UWB modem transmitter and a control method thereof are disclosed. The FIR filter includes an LUT control device for outputting a resultant value of “0” to all adders if data values corresponding to upper three chips H2, M2 and L2 and lower three chips H, M and L are “000000”, and discriminating which group between a first group and a second group the upper/lower data values belong to if the upper/lower data values are not “000000”. The LUT control device provides upper or lower LUT values to the adders using the upper or lower LUT values as they are, or converts the upper or lower LUT values into 2's complements and provides the converted values to the adders according to the discriminated first or second group. The FIR filter has the effect of reducing the amount of memory by about 50% to 80% in comparison to the conventional FIR filter.

The device includes a wireless 1394 device, built in the notebook PC in the form of a CardBus PC Card, for converting a CardBus PC Card access signal of the notebook PC into an MB-OFDM UWB signal to transmit the converted MB-OFDM UWB signal, and inversely converting a received MB-OFDM UWB signal into a CardBus PC Card access signal of the notebook PC. The device can easily be built in a notebook PC, has a simple structure with a low cost, has a very high wireless transmission speed of 55 to 480 Mbps in comparison to the existing IEEE 802.11b type wireless 1394 bridge device in the form of an external IEEE 1394 adapter, and guarantees the QoS (Quality of Service) using the IEEE802.15.3 type MAC to provide a high-quality service to users.

The apparatus can efficiently support the IEEE 802.15.3 standard by designing a queue structure capable of managing the WPAN MAC frames according to user's priority information and traffic characteristics in a WPAN device for supporting video/audio streams.
