摘要： The present invention provides isolated nucleic acid molecules which comprise sequences from the 3′ UTR of myelin basic protein (MBP) mRNA. The subject isolated nucleic acid molecules confer properties such as localization, transport and increased translational efficiency of a heterologous mRNA transcript when transcribed into such mRNA. The present invention also provides vectors comprising the subject isolated nucleic acids. The vectors are useful for increasing translational efficiency of mRNA transcripts produced by a heterologous gene incorporated therein. Also provided by the present invention are methods for increasing translation of a heterologous gene. The methods comprise transforming a eukaryotic cell with at least one of the subject vectors having coding sequence for a heterologous gene. Methods for enhancing gene therapy are also provided.

摘要： A device and method for the acquisition, processing and optimized transmission of video image data. The display output of an electronic viewing device is split by means of a beam-splitting element. A split portion of the image is detected by a detector and its output digitized. Regions of interest in the split image may be identified by eye-tracking or image saliency processing means to define salient regions in the split image. The salient regions in the split image are transmitted to a remote receiver at a higher resolution than the non-salient regions in the scene whereby video transmission bandwidth is reduced and optimized.

This invention describes the use of additional cationic surfactant in combination with an anionic-cationic complex made from a fatty alkyl dialkylamine and a “dicarboxylic acid”, preferably a dimer acid. This combination provides exceptional conditioning for hair, improving both wet and dry combing. It also makes very stable oil-in-water emulsions, and adds a slippery feel and lubricity to shaving and skin cleaning products.
