    摘要: A wellhead seal assembly forms a metal-to-metal seal between inner and outer wellhead members. A metal seal ring has inner and outer walls separated by a slot. A lock ring has grooves for locking the inner wellhead member to the outer wellhead member during installation. An energizing ring has a C-ring captured on its inner surface. When the energizing ring is moved further into the slot, the C-ring is forced from its pocket and engages the surface of the inner wellhead member, locking the seal assembly to the inner wellhead member.

    摘要: A rotating drilling head seals around drill pipe while drilling. The drilling head has an outer housing that mounts to the rig floor. An inner housing is rotatably mounted in the outer housing. An annular bladder is mounted in the inner housing. An annular elastomeric gripping member is mounted in the bladder. The inner housing having a passage for delivering hydraulic fluid pressure to the outer surface of the bladder to cause the bladder to deform inwardly, thereby forcing the gripping member to deform inwardly to grip and rotate with a drill pipe. The gripping member has a first end secured to the inner housing for rotating the inner housing as the drill pipe rotates and a second end that is free to move axially to allow the bladder to elongate in response to the deformation by the bladder.

    摘要: An assembly contained within a housing slideably connects device leads to apparatus terminals with predetermined forces. Parallel slots through the housing contain “S” shaped rotatable contacts. The connection force is obtained by compressing two elastomeric members extending through holes perpendicular to the slots and opposite to the contact ends by rotating the contacts. The leads and terminals are opposite and parallel to opposite ends of the contacts, and their connection is provided by this contact rotation. The contact rotations are provided by the nose ends of the contacts extending outward slightly from the slots such that, when the device under test is pressed against the housing, the contacts will be forced within the housing to rotate the contacts and compress the elastomeric members. This provides both a sliding and predetermined force electrical connection between the leads, terminals and contacts.
