摘要: Disclosed is a method for allocating and accessing downlink resources in the OFDMA communication system. In the resource allocation method, bursts having the same modulation and channel encoding level are arranged in a predetermined temporal order on a physical layer. Information on the allocated unit resources is included in a common control block and is transmitted to a subscriber station, and the subscriber station then detects a number of the allocated unit resources to thus check the range of bursts to be received by the subscriber station. Therefore, power consumption by the subscriber station is reduced and signaling overheads of the common control information and unneeded residual resources are decreased.

摘要: In a cellar system providing various packet services, sleep mode operation of a terminal in an idle state is controlled. The cellular system determines a discontinuous receiving (DRX) period according to a QoS of a packet service provided to the terminal, and runs the sleep mode according to the determined DRX period. The cellular system runs the sleep mode divided into shallow sleep duration and deep sleep duration. With this manner, a paging delay to the terminal and a power consumption of the terminal may be reduced.

摘要: Provided is an error correcting method that can provide improved error correction efficiency in a multimedia broadcast/multicast service (MBMS) by marking the presence of an error in a Protocol Data Unit (PDU) with an error instead of discarding the erroneous PDU in an MBMS terminal of the MBMS system, which performs error correction in an application layer, and transmitting the erroneous PDU together with a PDU without an error to the application layer, and an error correction apparatus employing the method. The MBMS terminal includes: a radio link control (RLC) protocol processor configured to receive PDUs generated from the reception data, generate service data units (SDUs) by combining the PDUs, mark whether there is an SDU recovered from a PDU with an error, and output the SDUs; and a packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) processing means configured to receive and deliver the SDUs.

摘要: A data transmission device transmits coded packets and a code for decoding the coded packets to a receiving device. The data transmission device retransmits the coded packets and the code to the receiving device when failing to receive feedback information on a decoding success state of the coded packets from the receiving device. Accordingly, the data transmission device can increase the radio resource efficiency in the wireless communication system.
