摘要: A power generation cell includes a membrane electrode assembly, and a cathode side metal separator and an anode side metal separator sandwiching the membrane electrode assembly. A seal member covers inner surfaces of inlet through holes. The seal member includes a plurality of flow grooves and a plurality of receivers. The flow grooves guide a fuel gas from the inlet through holes to a fuel gas flow field through an inlet buffer. The receivers directly contact an anode.

摘要: A fuel gas passage, an oxygen-containing gas passage, and a coolant passage extend through a fuel cell stack. Each of the fuel gas passage and the oxygen-containing gas passage is formed by serially connecting passages between the first through third fuel cell modules. The fuel gas flows through the fuel gas passage, and the oxygen-containing gas flows through the oxygen-containing gas passage from the first fuel cell module toward the third fuel cell module. The coolant passage is formed by serially connecting passages between the first through third fuel modules. The coolant flows through the coolant passage from the third fuel cell module toward the first fuel cell module. The direction of the flow of the coolant is opposite to the direction of the flows of the fuel gas and the oxygen-containing gas.

摘要: A cell voltage detector for fuel cell comprising terminals adapted to be brought into abutment with output terminals of separators for a stack, a voltage detecting unit for detecting the cell voltage of the stack through the terminals, a terminal holder for holding one end of the respective terminals and permitting the abutment of the terminals with the output terminals of the separators via a terminal opening opened in a fuel cell cover for encompassing the stack, the terminal holder having a leg portion adapted to be brought into abutment with the periphery of the terminal opening and a terminal cover retained onto the fuel cell cover, so that the terminal cover is brought into abutment with a head portion of the terminal holder on an inner surface thereof and covers the periphery of the terminal opening.

摘要: First gas flow passage grooves which communicate with an oxygen-containing gas inlet, and second gas flow passage grooves into which the first gas flow passage grooves are merged and which communicate with an oxygen-containing gas outlet are provided on a surface of a first separator. First communication passages and second communication passages for enabling the air to flow therethrough are provided at first and second bent sections of the first gas flow passage grooves and the second gas flow passage grooves. Accordingly, when the air flowing in the surface of the separator is bent over, then the flow rate of the air is not partially lowered, and it is possible to reliably remove produced water.

摘要: In a synchronous machine starting device, an AC voltage detection unit detects AC voltage supplied to an armature of a synchronous machine through an electric power line from a power conversion unit. The AC voltage detection unit has a first output end and a second output end isolated from the electric power line, transforms AC voltage supplied through the electric power line at a first ratio to output the transformed voltage from the first output end, and transforms AC voltage supplied through the electric power line at a second ratio and then limits the transformed voltage to a prescribed positive voltage value or lower and a prescribed negative voltage value or higher for output from the second output end. Then, a detected voltage selection unit selects one of the voltage received from the first output end and the voltage received from the second output end, and outputs the selected one to a rotor position detection unit. The rotor position detection unit detects a rotor position of the synchronous machine based on the voltage received from the detected voltage selection unit. A power conversion control unit controls the power conversion unit based on the detected rotor position.

In the membrane electrode assembly, a surface area of a gas diffusion layer is larger than a surface area of a gas diffusion layer. 摘要: First and second fuel cell stacks having a simple and compact structure are connected in parallel to each other to enable ensuring a desired electric power generating performance. The first and second fuel cell stacks have the same structure and are arranged in parallel to each other with polarities thereof reversed. A manifold piping is mounted to one ends of the first and second fuel cell stacks. In order to supply an oxidizer gas, a fuel gas, and a coolant to the first and second fuel cell stacks, at least an oxidizer-gas supply pipe, a fuel-gas supply pipe, and a coolant supply pipe in the manifold piping are provided to be symmetrical with respect to the first and second fuel cell stacks.
