    摘要： A general-purpose, single-pass, adaptive, and lossless data compression invention implements an LZ1-like method using a hash-based architecture. It is suitable for use in data storage and data communications applications. Implementation efficiency, in terms of required memory and logic gates relative to the typical compression ratio achieved, is highly optimized. An easy-to-implement and quick-to-verify hash function is used. Differential copy lengths may be used to reduce the number of bits required to encode the copy-length field within copy tokens. That is, if multiple matches to a sequence of input bytes are found in the current window, then the length of the copy may be encoded as the difference between the lengths of the longest and the second-longest match, which results in a smaller copy length which likely has a shorter encoded representation. To further increase the compression achieved, literals are not used, but rather input bytes without window matches are mapped into alphabet tokens of variable length using a unary-length code. Other unary-length codes are used to represent the copy-length field and the displacement field within copy tokens.

    摘要： A disk drive is disclosed comprising a head actuated over a disk and a fly height actuator operable to control a fly height of the head in response to a fly height control signal. A touchdown operation is executed to set an operating fly height control signal by adjusting the fly height control signal until the head contacts the disk. A fly height calibration track is then read to set a fly height reference. When calibrating the operating fly height control signal, the fly height calibration track is read and the operating fly height control signal is adjusted in response to the fly height reference. When the adjusted operating fly height control signal is invalid, the touchdown operation is re-executed to reset the operating fly height control signal and then the fly height calibration track is read to reset the fly height reference.

    摘要： Applicant has disclosed a “Launderable Tritium Hood” with a removable visor assembly that allows the visor (i.e., view plate) and the remainder of the hood to be cleaned separately, and by different methods, for their reuse. In the preferred embodiment, Applicant's invention comprises: a launderable tritium suit hood; a removable visor assembly with a visor removably attached to a channel assembly; and, a bead assembly attached to the hood's fabric by stitching, wherein the channel assembly, with its attached visor, can be press-fit onto the bead assembly and subsequently peeled off when desired. Applicant's invention can also be thought of as a method comprising: press fitting a removable visor assembly onto a bead affixed to a tritium suit hood to create a gas-tight seal between the visor assembly and hood; and lifting and peeling the visor assembly off the bead to remove the visor assembly from the hood.

    摘要： A wheel-mounted, heavy-duty wire rack system for shipping, storage, and delivery of environmental suits and other garments includes a multi-shelf wire rack mounted on a sturdy wheeled base. The base is a steel frame with four casters and a pair of forklift guides attached to the underside of the frame. The multi-shelf wire rack is attached to the topside of the frame, and includes four upright posts and a plurality of reinforced wire shelves attached to and extending between the posts. Further, a set of wire mesh panels is attached to the posts and shelves to enclose the sides of the wire rack, thereby forming a single front opening for each shelf. Fabric covers are positioned over the multi-shelf wire rack for preventing items from falling out during shipping and handling. Additionally, fabric shelf dividers or bins are positioned on the shelves for storage and organization of smaller items.
