    摘要: An LCD apparatus is provided. The LCD apparatus includes lamps for generating a first light, a diffusing member, and a receiving member. The diffusing member diffuses the first light from the lamps and reflected light to emit a second light having uniform brightness distribution. The LCD apparatus also includes an LCD panel receiving the second light and displaying images in response to the second light by use of liquid crystal, and a top chassis combined to the receiving member to secure the LCD panel onto the receiving member. The distances between the respective lamps and the diffusing member vary in association with positions of the respective lamps such that the closer to a central portion of the diffusing member a lamp is placed, the shorter a distance between the lamp and the diffusing member.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a method for estimating a timing error and a frequency offset in a high-speed portable Internet system and a method thereof. A predetermined preamble symbol is added to an OFDM frame to be transmitted by a transmitter according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention, an IFFT operation is performed, and then a pseudo noise is multiplexed by the preamble symbol to estimate the timing error and the frequency offset. A receiver receives an OFDM symbol, extracts the preamble symbol from the OFDM symbol, and multiplexes the extracted preamble symbol by a local pseudo noise, which is equal to the pseudo noise used by the transmitter but is shifted.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a method and device for estimating a timing error and a frequency offset in the MIMO mobile communication system. In a system including a plurality of transmit antennas and a plurality of receive antennas, a predetermined preamble symbol is inserted into a frame to be transmitted by a transmitting device, and pseudo noise is multiplied to the preamble symbol, and result signal is transmitted through each transmit antenna. A receiving device receives the signal through each receive antenna, extracts a preamble symbol from the OFDM symbol, and multiplies local pseudo noise that corresponds to the pseudo noise used by the transmitting device and is shifted by the extracted preamble symbol. A timing error is estimated and compensated according to the correlation of the pseudo noise of the transmitting device and the local pseudo noise of the receiving device. A frequency offset is estimated and compensated according to the phase difference between the preamble symbols. Therefore, the system is realized in a simpler manner and timing error and frequency offset estimation and compensation performance is further improved.

    摘要: The invention relates to a fabrication of an integrated optical isolator using a Multi-Mode Interference (MMI) structure and a cladding layer comprising magneto-optical material, which remove needless reflection generated in the course of light propagation and make short length integration possible. Thus, the invention uses nonreciprocal phase shift effect that optical characteristics are altered according to the direction of light propagation. In order to fabricate a light waveguide optical isolator, an input light should be separated into two light waveguides having the same power. That is, for the purpose of reducing the length of optical isolator device, the waveguide length needed to separate an input light into two light waveguides should be shortened. Since the light waveguide length of MMI structure is much shorter than the length of Mach-Zehnder light waveguide for separating an input light into two waveguides, the length of optical isolator device using MMI structure can be reduced. Moreover, since MMI structure exhibits big permissible error in fabrication, the invention has the advantage that it is simple to fabricate the device.
