An imaging device including: an imaging element which comprises a plurality of pixels capable of switching between a linear conversion operation for linearly converting incident light into an electric signal and a logarithmic conversion operation for logarithmically converting the incident light into an electric signal, according to an incident light quantity; a monitor to display an image obtained by the imaging element; an operation section which is operated for specifying an arbitrary area of the image displayed on the monitor; and an inflection point changing section which evaluates an output signal of the imaging element in the specified area, and changes the inflection point which is a boundary between a linear region and a logarithmic region in the output signal of the imaging element, based on an evaluation result of the output signal.

In imaging using a linear log sensor and an auxiliary light source, an image pickup apparatus capable of preventing an excess of exposure and suppressing the influence on the brightness of the overall screen even if the distances of a plurality of photographic subjects are different from each other within the arrival range of strobo light is provided. In an image pickup apparatus 1, an image pickup device 4, an irradiation unit 6 for irradiating light at time of picking up an image of a photographic subject, and an inflection point changing unit 25 for changing an inflection point which is a boundary between a linear area and a logarithmic area so as to prevent an output signal of the image pickup device 4 from saturation within the brightness range of the photographic subject and to use the logarithmic area in priority are installed.

The present invention relates to a choke coil utilized in a variety of electronic products both for industrial use and consumer use, and aims to provide a choke coil that is thinner in size, accommodates a larger current, provides better efficiency in assembly and higher reliability. The choke coil of the present invention comprises a closing magnetic core having a center magnetic leg, an outer magnetic leg 36 and a common magnetic yoke. A coreless coil winds a plate-type wire around the center magnetic leg of the closing magnetic core to form itself, and is mounted to the closing magnetic core. At least one terminal coupled to an inner turn of the coreless coil out of terminals coupled to both ends of the plate-type wire of the coreless coil is led out from a notch provided on one side of the common magnetic yoke of the closing magnetic core.

An interrupt test circuit is provided on the same chip with a microprocessor system having a central processing unit, and an interrupt controller controlling execution of an interrupt operation of the central processing unit in response to an interrupt request signal from peripheral units. The interrupt test circuit is connected between the peripheral units and the interrupt controller and includes a test signal output connected to the interrupt controller, and storage means for storing an interrupt request test signal when receiving a predetermined signal and for supplying the test signal through the test signal output to the interrupt controller for interrupt performance test.

A skid beam for use in a walking beam type heating furnace which has operating temperature exceeding 1000.degree. C. comprises a hollow skid pipe of heat resistant alloy, skid buttons provided upright on the skid pipe and arranged axially thereof at a predetermined spacing, and a refractory lining covering the outer peripheral surface of the skid pipe and each of the skid buttons over the base portion thereof toward its upper portion. Each of the skid buttons comprises a first member attached to the skid pipe and made of a heat-resistant alloy, and a second member to be brought into contact with the material to be heated. The second member is made of a composite material composed of a heat-resistant alloy and ceramic particles dispersed therein in an amount of 30 to 70% by weight based on the composite material. The skid button has a height exceeding 120 mm. The lining portion covering the skid button over the base portion thereof toward its upper portion has a thickness so as not to give a temperature difference of 40.degree. C. between the top of the skid button and the interior of the furnace.

The apparatus forms an image based on image data acquired by applying a rendering operation to depiction commands and includes: a converting section to convert input data to the depiction commands; a first rendering section to apply the rendering operation to a first depiction command; a second rendering section to apply the rendering operation to a second depiction command; a reading section to read out first information from the storage section; a determining section to determine whether the first rendering section or the second rendering section should apply the rendering operation to each of the depiction commands; and a control, section to make either the first rendering section or the second rendering section apply the rendering operation to each of the depiction commands.
