Abstract:
A displaying method for an electronic device. The electronic device includes a display, a plurality function modules being to call functions, a storage unit for storing particular functions and display the time associated with each of the particular functions. The displaying method includes determining whether a called function belongs to the particular functions; turning on the display if the called function belongs to the particular functions and beginning to count a time; determining whether the counted time reaches the display time associated with the called function; and turning off the display if the counted time reaches the associated display time.
Abstract:
An automatic channel search method for updating a channel list, the channels list records the channel information. The automatic channel search method is performed by following the steps of: searching current available channels to obtained channel information a interval of a predetermined search period; and updating the channel list according to the obtained channel information.
Abstract:
A communication terminal includes an alerting unit, a capturing unit, an identifying unit and a phone answering unit. The alerting unit is configured for generating an alert signal when the communication terminal has an incoming call. The capturing unit is configured for capturing consecutive images according to the alert signal from the alerting unit. The identifying unit is configured for identifying the captured consecutive images from the capturing unit, and determining whether the last captured image shows an image of an ear. The phone answering unit is configured for answering the incoming call according to a determination result of the identifying unit that the last captured image shows the image of the ear.
Abstract:
A battery system includes a battery and a battery protection apparatus. The battery protection apparatus protects the battery from over-discharge. The battery protection apparatus includes a voltage controlled switch, a start switch, and a voltage detecting unit. The voltage controlled switch establishes an electrical connection between the battery and the load. The start switch turns on the voltage controlled switch when actuated. The voltage detecting unit detects a battery voltage of the battery and generates a detecting voltage according to the battery voltage. The voltage controlled switch is turned off when the detecting voltage is lower than a predetermined value.
Abstract:
A television includes a memory, a processor, and a volume adjusting application stored in the memory. The volume adjusting application is configured for execution by the processor to provide at least two-step volume control of audio signals converted from television programs. In a first step, the volume of the audio signals is quickly adjusted from a normal level to a background level by operating a mute key provided on a remote control. In a second step, the volume of the audio signals is completely muted by further operating the mute key provided on the remote control. Therefore, the volume of the audio signals can be adjusted without having to repeatedly hitting conventional volume control buttons provided on the remote control.
Abstract:
A television includes a memory, a health processor, and a health application stored in the memory. The health application is configured for execution by the health processor to receive body information inputted by the remote control, the body information being associated with a user watching the television programs; calculate a health index according to the received body information by the health processor; determine whether the calculated health index satisfies a standard index; and output an indicating message to the user upon determination that the calculated health index does not satisfy the standard index.
Abstract:
A method for switching an electronic device with a touch sensitive display between a locked state and an unlocked state. The method includes receiving multiple contacts with respect to multiple predefined areas of the touch-sensitive display; detecting a sequence pattern in response to receiving the multiple contacts; determining if the recognized sequence pattern matches a predefined sequence pattern; and switching the electronic device to the unlocked state in response to determining that the recognized sequence pattern matches the predefined sequence pattern, so as to allow the electronic device to be manipulated in the unlocked state. An electronic device using the method is provided.
Abstract:
A method of sorting web pages includes the steps of acquiring a plurality of forbidden keywords, receiving information of a list of web pages provided by a search engine, separating the web pages into valid web pages and invalid web pages according to forbidden keywords, rearranging the information of the valid web pages and the invalid web pages, and outputting the rearranged information of the valid web pages and the invalid web pages. A related search terminal and a client terminal are also provided.
Abstract:
An exemplary multiple user system is provided. The multiple user system includes a display module, a storage module, and a control module. The display module displays data and graphics according to default display parameters. The storage module stores different user accounts information and different display parameters associated with each user account. The control module identifies the currently logged in user to the multiple user computer system, and retrieves display parameters with the identified user account from the storage module. The control module compares the default display parameters with the retrieved display parameters, and adjusts the default display parameters to the retrieved display parameters upon the determination that the default display parameters and the retrieved display parameters do not match.
Abstract:
A disc apparatus includes a player and a holder. The player is configured for reading an optical disc, the player comprising a first latching portion. The holder is configured for holding extra optical discs, the holder comprising a second latching portion. The first latching portion and the second latching portion are capable of attaching the holder to the player cooperatively.
