Abstract:
A punch assembly is provided in a form, fill, and seal machine that provides a package that includes a sealed end portion and contains an article. The punch assembly includes a housing, and a heat sink provided in and retained by the housing, where the heat sink includes a punch tip that is to provide an opening in the sealed end portion of the package. The punch assembly also includes a coil heater contacting the heat sink to provide heat to the heat sink and the punch tip, where one or more air gaps are provided between the housing and the heat sink to prevent heat transfer from the heat sink to a seal jaw assembly of the form, fill, and seal machine.
Abstract:
A processor including a virtualization system of the processor with a memory virtualization support system to map a reference to guest-physical memory made by guest software executable on a virtual machine which in turn is executable on a host machine in which the processor is operable to a reference to host-physical memory of the host machine.

Abstract:
An intravenous catheter anchoring assembly is disclosed and includes a patient-contacting membrane, a platform, and a retaining strap for securing a catheter or tubing of an administration set to a patient. The strap is attached to the platform with adjustable pull-tabs that permit a variety of catheter shapes and sizes to be secured. The strap is also elastomeric so that the strap is stretchable and thereby grabs the secured catheter. The strap and platform further define a plurality of passageways that permit the catheter to be secured in a plurality of non-aligned directions.
Abstract:
Methods of formulating enzyme cocktails based on the presence of enzyme-hydrolysable components in a target stain and/or soil. More specifically, the formulation of an enzyme cocktail comprising a specific enzyme for each component in a target stain and/or soil, optionally wherein each enzyme is incorporated at a level corresponding to the level of an enzyme-hydrolysable component in said target stain and/or soil. Further, enzyme cocktails for removing egg-based and grass-based stains, optionally formulated in accordance with the methods disclosed herein. Moreover, compositions and products comprising the enzyme cocktails disclosed herein and methods of using same.
Abstract:
A waterless in vivo biocompatible and bio-excretable lubricant and ultrasound coupling fluid or gel produced from formulations based on polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) and one or more polyols such as propylene glycol, glycerol, polyethylene glycol and sorbitol.
Abstract:
In vivo biocompatible hydrogels to couple and transmit high intensity ultrasound for hemostasis and ablation during surgery, the hydrogels having 4-40 wt. % of a polymer comprising acrylates and the balance water. A group of hydrogels based on cross-linked methacrylate one of which is polyethyleneglycol methacrylate, can form rigid, low acoustic attenuation coupling members and are in vivo biocompatible. These coupling members consist of hydrogel formulations having mechanical and acoustic properties such that ultrasound transmission standoff members of various dimensions and structural configurations function as efficient ultrasound transmission media and devices within which the ultrasound beam can be transferred to a focal point at the end of the standoff or in close proximity to it.
Abstract:
An vivo biocompatible and bio-excretable lubricant and ultrasound coupling fluid or gel comprising polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) and/or polyvinyl alcohol (PVA). The inventive couplant fluid or gel comprises polyvinylpyrrolidone and/or polyvinyl alcohol solutions in water to which humectants such as alkylene glycols and/or polyalkylene glycols are added to achieve desired tactile and drying characteristics. Additionally, such fluids and gels may be prepared by addition of organic and inorganic cross-linkers.
Abstract:
