    摘要: A context sensitive searching front-end is disclosed for use in a deposition or trial proceeding wherein a computer aided transcription terminal provides real-time transcribed text down-line to attorney terminals. The terminals may thereafter use the transcribed text and any other text currently being displayed to formulate searches with little or no typing interaction required. Other text which may be used as a basis for searching includes communications from other attorney terminals, from artificial intelligence objection messages, and personal notes. Searching may be conducted on natural language or boolean front-ends which provide virtually instant feed-back as to the value of a search formulation before and after any “searching” actually occurs. Graphing of search results, including individual search word contribution, is provided for modification and selection of the documents to be reviewed. Library selection for searching is provided by analyzing the context from which the search originated, and from the actual words selected for searching. A database structure is also disclosed for providing backward referencing into the actual locations of search words without having to search the text files.

    摘要: An end-point device that is attached to a primary access point delivers a detachment logic and network address of at least a secondary access point to the primary access point. The end-point device informs the primary access point about intended detachment. The detachment logic directs the primary access point to forward data destined for the end-point device to the secondary access point after detachment in anticipation that the end-point device will be attached to the secondary access point even if detached from the primary access point. The end-point device delivers the detachment logic anytime after attachment or after detachment from the primary access point. The detachment logic directs the primary access point to store session information and network association information so that the end-point device is relieved from re-establishing communication session and re-establishing association with a data network while switching attachment from the primary access point to another access point. The primary access point has an alternate pathway to communicate with the end-point device even after detachment.

    摘要: In packet and circuit switched telephone networks, a plurality of telephony devices support call media exchange and playback both before and after call pick up. Prior to detecting pick-up, a calling telephony device sends announcement media to a receiving telephony device. The receiving telephony device responds by both sending greeting reply media to the calling telephony device, and presenting the received announcement media to a recipient. The calling telephony device presents the received greeting reply media to the caller. Upon detecting a pick-up event, both the calling telephony device and the receiving telephony device begin exchanging and presenting supplemental media and real-time voice information. The announcement, reply, and supplemental post-connection media can be any combination of real-time or pre-defined audio, video, images and text. Such media in whole or in part may be exchanged between the devices directly, retrieved from support servers, and/or retrieved from local storage. Either device may provide local supplemental media where none is received, and employ media override where that received is unwanted.
