Abstract: A vehicular rear window assembly includes a fixed window panel and an indicating device having a plurality of light sources. The vehicular rear window assembly is configured to be disposed at a rear portion of a cabin of a vehicle. The indicating device is disposed at the fixed window panel. With the vehicular rear window assembly disposed at the rear portion of the cabin of the vehicle, the light sources, when electrically powered to emit light, emit light that is visible through the window panel so as to be viewable by a person viewing the vehicular rear window assembly from exterior and rearward of the vehicle. The indicating device is operated responsive to at least one system of the vehicle. Responsive to an output of the at least one system, the indicating device adjusts operation of the light sources to indicate a status of the at least one system.

Abstract: A vehicular rear slider window assembly includes a fixed window panel having an inner side and an outer side, an upper rail and a lower rail attached at the inner side, and a movable window panel having a lower perimeter edge received in a channel of the lower rail and an upper perimeter edge received in a channel of the upper rail. The lower rail includes a first attaching surface that attaches at the inner side and a second attaching surface opposite the first attaching surface. A retaining element is attached along the lower rail and at the second attaching surface. The retaining element includes an attaching portion that attaches at the second attaching surface and a retaining portion that extends at least partially across the channel of the lower rail to limit vertical movement of the movable window panel relative to the upper and lower rails.

The vehicular rear window assembly, with the spoiler adhesively attached at and along the upper region of the outer side of the window panel, is configured for mounting at a rear portion of a cabin of the vehicle. Abstract: A vehicular window assembly includes a laminated glass window panel comprising an inner glass sheet and an outer glass sheet that are laminated together. A sensing device is disposed between the inner and outer glass sheets and includes a plurality of sensors and a plurality of illumination sources. With the laminated glass window panel disposed at a vehicle and when one or more of said illumination sources are activated, a person viewing the laminated glass window panel from exterior of the vehicle views one or more of a plurality of icons or alphanumeric characters illuminated by light emitted by the activated respective one or more of the illumination sources. With the laminated glass window panel disposed at the vehicle and when the illumination sources are not activated, the sensing device is not readily visible to the person viewing the laminated glass window panel from exterior of the vehicle.

Abstract: A rear slider window assembly for a vehicle includes a fixed window panel and a movable window panel that is movable between a closed position and an opened position. The movable window panel includes a laminated movable window panel having an electrical element disposed between an inner glass panel and an outer glass panel. The first electrical element is in electrical connection with a wire harness of the vehicle via a flexible connector electrically connected to a first electrical connector at an inner surface of the movable window panel and to a second electrical connector at the inner surface of the fixed window panel. The first electrical connector is electrically connected to the first electrical element via a thin flat connector that extends from the first electrical connector and wraps around a perimeter edge of the inner glass panel of the movable window panel.

Abstract: A slider window assembly for a vehicle includes at least one fixed window panel and a frame portion attached at the at least one fixed window panel. A movable window panel is movable along upper and lower rails of the frame portion and movable between a closed position and an opened position. At least one of the upper and lower rails includes a recess for receiving adhesive therein and a tapered end region at an end of the recess. The tapered end region includes at least one notch or groove through a wall that at least partially circumscribes the recess, with the notch or groove configured to allow excess adhesive to escape during the adhesive bonding of the at least one of the upper and lower rails to the at least one fixed window panel. The tapered end region has an outer tapered surface opposite the recess.

A first guide pin moves along a first channel, which as a slot established therealong and therethrough. An electrical connector electrically connects electrical terminals at the fixed window panel to electrical terminals at the movable window panel, and includes a pin follower that extends through the slot of the first channel to electrically connect to a flexible cable connected to terminals at the fixed window panel and to electrical terminals at the movable window panel. The lower rail may include a water drainage element including (i) a hole established through the lower rail and (ii) a drainage receiving conduit attached at the fixed window panel beneath the hole of the lower rail and spaced from the lower rail.

Abstract: A window assembly includes an outer window panel, an inner window panel, a conductive layer disposed at an inner surface of the inner window panel, a spacer element, and a roller shade disposed within an interpane cavity established between the inner and outer window panels by the spacer element. The roller shade has an end fixedly attached at an anchor stop along a perimeter portion of the spacer element. A dielectric layer is disposed between the roller shade and the conductive layer. The roller shade is electrically deployable to coil and uncoil between a coiled light transmitting condition and an at least partially uncoiled light attenuating condition. The roller shade is electrically operable via applying a voltage at the transparent conductive layer and at the anchor stop to uncoil the roller shade from the coiled light transmitting condition to the at least partially uncoiled light attenuating condition.
