In the operative position, the key top can be moved downwardly and upwardly by biasing force of a rubber spring. The key top is supported on a support plate by first and second link members pivotally connected to each other. A pivot connecting portion of the first and second link members is seated on the rubber spring when the key top is in its operative position. The rubber spring is fixed to a circuit board which is slidable with respect to the support plate. By sliding the circuit board, the position of the rubber spring is offset from the pivot connecting portion, so that the first and second link members can be folded up. The first and second link members are directly supported by the support plate.
