    摘要: A power supply apparatus for use with arc-utilizing apparatuses includes a plurality of power supply blocks of the same capacity. Each power supply block includes an input-side rectifying circuit, an inverter, a transformer, and an output-side rectifying circuit. The inverter is controlled by a control circuit in such a manner that high-frequency current flowing the inverter or current flowing through the output-side rectifying circuit can correspond to a reference signal provided by a reference signal generator. The outputs of the output-side rectifying circuits of the power supply blocks are connected in parallel with each other. The values of the reference signals generated by the reference signal generators are made always equal by the action of equipotential lines.

    摘要: An input-side rectifier (4), a smoothing capacitor (6), an inverter (8), a transformer (10) and an output-side rectifier (12) operate together to convert an AC voltage supplied from an AC power supply to a DC voltage. The DC voltage is coupled through a DC-to-AC converter (16) to a workpiece (18) and a torch (20). An auxiliary voltage supply (28) supplies the workpiece (18) and the torch (20) with a negative voltage for a short time following the transition of the AC voltage supplied to the workpiece (18) and the torch (20) from positive to negative. The negative voltage has a negative peak value larger than the negative peak value of the AC voltage supplied to the workpiece (18) and the torch (20), and rapidly changes from the negative peak value. The auxiliary voltage supply (28) produces a DC voltage having a negative peak value larger than the negative peak value of the AC voltage supplied to the workpiece (18) and the torch (20), by means of a transformer (30), a rectifier (32) and a smoothing capacitor (36). The smoothing capacitor (36) is coupled to the workpiece (18) and the torch (20) through a transistor (38) and a current-limiting resistor (40). A differentiating circuit (46) is coupled in parallel with the current-limiting resistor (40), and includes a resistor (48) having a smaller resistance value than the current-limiting resistor (40).

    摘要: An output of a rectifying circuit (6), which rectifies commercial AC power, is supplied to an inverter (12) through a power factor correction circuit (8). The output of the inverter (12) is voltage-transformed in a transformer (16), rectified in a rectifying circuit (18) and is applied to a xenon lamp (2). A secondary winding (22s) of a transformer (22) of an igniter (20) is connected between the rectifying circuit (18) and the xenon lamp (2) in order to generate an arc in the xenon lamp (2). A pulse generator provides a pulse for a short time period to a primary winding (22p) of the transformer (22). An auxiliary power supply (26) supplies arc-sustaining current prepared based on the commercial AC power to the junction of the rectifying circuit (18) and the secondary winding (22s) of the transformer (22).

    摘要: A power supply apparatus for a light source includes an input-side rectifier (32) which converts an input AC signal to a DC signal, and a high-frequency inverter (36) which converts the DC signal to a high-frequency signal. An output-side rectifier (42) converts the high-frequency signal to a DC output signal for application to the light source. Power detecting means (52) detects the power supplied to the light source through the application of the DC output signal thereto, and develops a power representative signal. A control circuit (38), a summer (54) and an error amplifier (58) cooperate to control the high-frequency inverter (36) in accordance with the power representative signal in such a manner that power of a predetermined value can be supplied to the light source. An input current detector (60) detects the input AC signal current value and develops an input current representative signal. When the input current representative signal is smaller than a predetermined input current reference value, a summer (62) and an error amplifier (66) cooperate to provide the summer (54) with such a control signal as to maintain the input AC signal current value at a predetermined value.
