Abstract:
A system, computer-readable storage medium storing at least one program, and a computer-implemented method for representing a resource object in a virtual environment are presented. To begin, a graphical user interface may be provided to a player. The graphical user interface may display a virtual environment that includes the resource object and a game object. A resource production event may be detected. The resource production event may be generated based on a resource production attribute that specifies that a quantity of resource units have been generated. Based on the detected resource production event, at least some portion of the quantity of generated resource units is allocated to the resource pool. Then, responsive to detecting a user initiated game action being applied to the game object, a determinable amount of resource units is removed from the resource pool.
Abstract:
A semiconductor package is disclosed having a single CE signal during electrical test and a plurality of CE signals during normal operation thereafter. After electrical testing of the memory die during fabrication, the electrical traces carrying the single CE signal from the memory test pad matrix to each of the memory die may be severed. Severing the electrical traces from the memory test pad matrix electrically isolates the multiple electrical traces between the controller die and memory die, and allows separate and individual CE signals between the controller die and memory die during normal usage of the memory die.

Abstract:
A superconducting cable assembly includes a first annular passage disposed concentrically around the superconducting cable and having first and second ends and an inlet, a second annular passage disposed concentrically around the first passage and having first and second ends, wherein at least one of the first and second ends of the second passage is in communication with at least one of the first and second ends of the first passage, the second passage further having an outlet. A coolant provided by a cryogenic refrigeration system is directed through the inlet, passes through the first passage in a first direction, passes through the second passage in a second direction opposite to the first direction and exits the assembly through the outlet. With this arrangement, the superconducting cable is cooled to the critical temperature by coolant flowing through the first passage and the coolant flowing through the second passage intercepts ambient heat so as to act as a heat shield for the first passage.
Abstract:
Certain embodiments of the present invention provide a game system including a first character set, a character exchange component, and a competition component. The first character set is adapted to include at least one character. At least one character in the first character set is adapted to be alterable by a user. The character exchange component is adapted to allow at least one character from the first character set to be exchanged. The competition component is adapted to allow a competition including at least one character in the first character set and at least one character in a second character set.
Abstract:
Certain embodiments of the present invention provide a method for providing a scouting report in a gaming system including selecting a player, collecting competition data based at least in part on a plurality of competitions, and providing a scouting report based at least in part on the collected competition data. The player is associated with a set of characters. The set of characters is adapted to include at least one character. Each character in the set of characters is associated with a set of attributes. Each set of attributes includes at least one attribute. At least one attribute in each set of attributes is adjustable by the player. The player participated in each of the plurality of competitions.
Abstract:
Coupons which are displayed as a text message on a mobile telecommunication device and include a code uniquely identifying the coupon are provided for. Systems for generating coupons on demand are also provided for. The system comprises an agency computer having access to a coupon database. The coupon database comprises information on offers and a location value assigned to each offer. The agency computer is connectable to a mobile communications network or other network for transmitting electronic mail. It receives requests for coupons from consumers that are transmitted via the network. Preferably, the requests originate from cells phones or other mobile telecommunication devices and are transmitted to the agency computer via a mobile communications network. The request is a text message that includes information identifying the consumer's location. The agency computer system identifies a coupon in the coupon database that is responsive to the coupon request based on the consumer's location and the offer location value. It then sends the identified coupon to the consumer via the network.
Abstract:
An apparatus (10) and method for sensing a vehicle crash condition includes a transponder (76a) responsive to interrogation signals for providing response signals and a transceiver (70a) for transmitting interrogation signals to the transponder (76a) and receiving response signals from the transponder (76a). The transponder (76a) is affixed to a first structure (36) of the vehicle (12) and the transceiver (70a) is affixed to a second structure (64) of the vehicle (12) at a location spaced apart from the first structure (36). A characteristic of the response signals changes in response to a vehicle crash condition that causes relative movement between the first and second structures (36 and 64). The apparatus (10) also includes a controller (34) for monitoring the received response signals to determine whether a vehicle crash condition is occurring.
Abstract:
A reduction in wafer processing cycle time is achieved by conducting wafer verification and slot randomization of a set of wafers as the wafers are moved through a singular processing location. In an example embodiment, a method of processing a set of wafers in a wafer processing system includes providing each of the wafers with a scribe code thereon. Each of the wafers is presented to a first processing location with the processing location having at least one processing chamber. The scribe code on each wafer is then read as the wafer is being placed into the processing chamber. Each wafer is processed and the set of wafers is slot randomized as they are removed from the first processing location and placed into a wafer cassette. An important advantage of the present invention is the reduced cycle times and reduced capital investment that this method and system bring to wafer processing.
Abstract:
Various embodiments of a circuit device for detecting the presence of unwanted conductor structures in insulation structure seams and methods of making the same are provided. In one aspect, a circuit device is provided that includes an insulating structure positioned on a substrate and a first conductor structure that has a first member positioned on the insulating structure. A second conductor structure is provided that has a second member positioned on the insulating structure. The second member projects toward the first conductor structure and the first member projects toward the second conductor structure, but the first and second conductor structures are not in physical contact. A current flowing between the first and second conductor structures when a bias is applied between the first and second conductor structures is indicative of a third conductor structure present on the insulating structure and contacting the first and second members.
