摘要: An antenna integral-type transmitter/receiver system to be installed outdoors and used for transmission and reception of radio signals. The object is to provide a small, lightweight antenna integral-type transmitter/receiver system formed of the reduced number of parts and assembling steps. The antenna integral-type transmitter/receiver system consists of a housing having one end surface in which an opening is formed and the other end surface in which an antenna mounting surface is formed, and including a transmitter/receiver function unit formed of a waveguide circuit unit, a high-frequency electrical circuit unit, and an intermediate frequency electrical circuit unit; an antenna connected to the transmitter/receiver function unit mounted on the other end surface of the housing; and a cover member for closing the opening of the one end surface of the housing. The waveguide circuit unit and the high-frequency electrical circuit unit form a first unit. The intermediate frequency electrical circuit unit forms a second unit. The first unit and the second unit are arranged so as to be stacked in the housing.

摘要: A magneto-optical recording medium has a multi-layer magnetic film comprising at least a reproducing layer, a memory layer, and a recording layer which are successively deposited in magnetically coupled relationship to each other. Information is recorded on the magneto-optical recording medium selectively in a first state in which the reproducing layer and the memory layer are magnetized by copying a magnetized condition of the recording layer, with a intensity-modulated light beam of a low intensity applied to the magneto-optical recording medium, or a second state in which the reproducing layer, the memory layer, and the recording layer are magnetized by an external recording magnetic field, with a intensity-modulated light beam of a high intensity applied to the magneto-optical recording medium. Recorded information is reproduced from the magneto-optical recording medium by copying the information from the memory layer to the reproducing layer in a limited high-temperature region which is produced due to a temperature distribution within a spot of a reproducing light beam applied to the magneto-optical recording medium.

摘要: An optical waveguide device is disclosed which utilizes an interaction between a guided optical wave and a magnetostatic wave. The optical waveguide device comprises a layer of bismuth substituted magnetic garnet which guides an optical wave. A pair of electrodes coupled to the layer of the magnetic garnet generates a magnetostatic backward volume wave in the layer of the magnetic garnet under an application of a certain bias magnetic field. The guided optical wave and the magnetostatic wave interact with each other wherein adverse effect caused by a spin effect is avoided to realize high efficiency at high frequency.

摘要: Wheels of a two-wheeled motor vehicle are supported by support rollers corresponding to each wheel, respectively, and an antilock brake system is operated for each wheel. Measuring means 20 and 31 measure values related to the rotation speed of rollers supporting the wheel for which the antilock brake system operates. Based on the values obtained by the measuring means 20 and 31, the waveform accompanying the change in rotation speed of the wheel that occurs by the operation of the antilock brake system is computed by a computing means 44 based on the values obtained by the measuring means 20 and 31. A determination means 45 determines whether or not a portion of the waveform obtained by the computing means 44 falls within a predetermined range or not. According to the present brake system test of a two-wheeled motor vehicle, not only is it possible to specify the malfunctioning portion easily, but it is also possible to reduce the time required for each test of the motor vehicle dramatically, enabling the test of the two-wheeled motor vehicle to be performed with high accuracy and efficiency.

摘要: A system for outputting a media stream and supplemental media streams is provided. A media stream manager outputs the media stream and associated supplemental media streams on a media stream output device. A timing module generates triggering events in conjunction with the output of the media streams according to event data. The media stream manager monitors for and detects the triggering events during the output of the media streams. Upon detecting a triggering event, the media stream manager determines which supplemental media streams are associated with the triggering event and iteratively outputs each associated supplemental media stream to the media stream output device. Supplemental media streams are output either synchronously or asynchronously according to previously determined information. A supplemental media stream that is output asynchronously to the media stream suspends the media stream and the timing of the media stream while the supplemental media stream is output.

摘要: The present invention adopts as the basic structure of its thermomagnetic recording medium an arrangement consisting of a first and a second magnetic thin film having perpendicular anisotropy and a third magnetic thin film having in-plane magnetic anisotropy or small perpendicular magnetic anisotropy interposed therebetween, formed into a laminated structure by being magnetically coupled to the adjoining films in turn, modulates and switches, in accordance with information to be recorded, a first heating condition and a second heating condition, with the medium applied with a predetermined external magnetic field H.sub.ex in the direction perpendicular to the plane of the film, the first condition being that for raising temperature of the medium to a first temperature T.sub.1 which is virtually above the Curie temperature T.sub.C1 of the first magnetic thin film and not causing reversal of the magnetic moment in the second magnetic thin film and the second condition being that for raising temperature of the same to a second temperature T.sub.2 which is virtually above the Curie temperature T.sub.C1 and sufficient to cause reversal of the magnetic moment in the second magnetic thin film, to thereby form an information bit (magnetic domains) in the first magnetic thin film, and adapts during the course the medium is cooled from the heated states such that two states established by the different relationships between the directions of magnetization of the first and second magnetic thin films are finally formed whereby the recording of the information is performed to achieve overwriting.

摘要: A printer controlled by a CPU in which a ROM having stored therein a control program executed by the CPU in replaceable. The ROM has stored therein identifying codes for identifying the control program stored in the ROM, and initializing data. A nonvolatile memory capable of being read out and written and having contents retained even if a power switch is turned off is provided with memory areas which can store respectively the identifying codes and the initializing data stored in the ROM in an identical array fashion. Each time the power switch is turned on, the identifying codes stored in the ROM are compared with identifying codes stored in the nonvolatile memory. If the identifying codes in the ROM and the identifying codes in the nonvolatile memory are inconsistent with each other, the identifying codes and the initializing data stored in the ROM are transferred and written respectively to the memory areas of the nonvolatile memory.
