    摘要: A transfer device includes a plurality of primary transfer rollers, a second link member and a regulatory member. The regulatory member restrains the second link member from moving further than a predetermined position toward the second direction. The second link member causes the primary transfer rollers to be displaced as it moves. The second link member is split into a plurality of link arms of which overall length is variable within a predetermined range; and its joint portion includes an elastic member urging the plurality of link arms toward a direction to which the overall length gets longer in a state where the second link member is most separate from a cam shaft, and a first locking section and a second locking section engaging the plurality of link arms with one another for the overall length not to get longer beyond a maximum value.

The arm can apply, by the flexibility of the flexure portion, a pressing force to the sheets stacked on the sheet exit tray and a repulsive force to each of the ejected sheets when a front end of the ejected sheet strikes against the arm.

    摘要: A convex-concave member with a plurality of protruding portions is provided on the inner surface of a toner holding body. A hitting member for hitting the protruding portions with rotation of the toner holding body is provided inside the toner holding body. As the toner holding body rotates, the hitting member hits an adjacent protruding portion on the upstream side of the protruding portion with which the hitting member have been in contact with respect to the rotation direction of the toner holding body. This vibrates the surface of the toner holding body, and weakens adhesive forces of the toner to the toner holding body. If the hitting member is disposed so as to hit the protruding portion opposing an opposite electrode, the adhesive forces of the toner are weakened only in a toner projection area, while an enough toner transport amount is ensured outside the toner projection area. Therefore, it is possible to achieve the weakening of the adhesive forces of the toner by vibrating the surface of the toner holding body with a relatively simple configuration, and to make attempts to reduce the size and costs of the image forming apparatus.

    摘要: A cleaning unit includes a cabinet, a cleaning blade, a toner drop preventive sheet, and an auxiliary member. The cabinet has an opening facing an outer periphery of a photosensitive drum. The cleaning blade is operative to scrape down residual toner adhering to the outer periphery of the photosensitive drum. The toner drop preventive sheet is operative to prevent the residual toner scraped down by the cleaning blade from dropping between the photosensitive drum and the cabinet. The auxiliary member is disposed below the toner drop preventive sheet and is movable between a first position for receiving a bulk substance dropping from the toner drop preventive sheet and a second position for dropping the bulk substance received from the toner drop preventive sheet.
