    摘要: A starter with an epicycle reduction gear having a one-way clutch within the casing thereof, which can shut off dust and filthy water, has a simplified structure, has a reduced number of parts and components, has reduced size and weight and has improved durability of the one-way clutch. Such a starter achieves these effects by housing the one-way clutch within the casing of the epicycle reduction gear. The one-way clutch is housed within the casing of the epicycle reduction gear, which includes a plurality of planetary gears. The one-way clutch comprises a small-diameter cylindrical part of the casing, serving as a clutch inner member, a small-diameter cylindrical part of the internal gear, serving as a clutch outer member, fit on the small-diameter cylindrical part of the casing, a clutch roller disposed between the small-diameter cylindrical part of the casing and the small-diameter cylindrical part of internal gear, and a spring. The internal gear includes a large-diameter cylindrical part with an annular face. The one-way clutch is formed so as to have a smaller diameter than the outside diameter of the large-diameter cylindrical part of the internal gear.

An electromechanical transducer drive coil is disposed in the third area of said main plate. The main plate has recesses for accommodating at least portions of said electronic components.

In one preferred embodiment, the driving coil, stators and battery are arranged in a predetermined order along the longitudinal axis of the movement construction and the integrated circuit chip is disposed to be in vertical alignment with the stators. In another preferred embodiment, the driving coil, stators and battery are arranged in spaces different from each other in a horizontal plane.

    摘要: An electromagnetic relay for starting a motor of a starter includes a resistor to reduce an activation current that flows through the motor from a battery for activation of the motor, a relay contact that causes the starting current to flow while bypassing the resistor, a relay coil that forms an electromagnet when excited by energization, and a control circuit that controls an excited state of the relay coil for activation of the motor to open or close the relay contact, thus controlling energization of the motor from the battery via the resistor. The electromagnetic relay incorporates therein the control circuit.

    摘要: There is disclosed a switching apparatus for a starter comprising a resistor for suppressing a startup current of a motor when an engine is started, an electromagnetic relay for bypassing the resistor to energize the motor after the motor is started, a function for pushing a pinion of the starter toward a ring gear, an electromagnetic switch for opening and closing a main contact of the motor circuit. The resistor, the electromagnetic relay, and the electromagnetic switch are integrally accommodated inside a housing formed of a metallic bottomed frame and a contact cover, and are connected to the motor circuit via two external connection terminals fixed to the contact cover. The apparatus can facilitate connectivity to the vehicle side by reducing the number of cables and can enhance an installation property.
