    摘要: This invention provides a paging method for Multimedia Broadcast/Multicast Service in mobile communication system. The paging process and radio resource setup process are merged in this method to try to reduce uplink responses. This invention extends existing PCH IubFP frame structure by adding MBMS Indication bit(MI) to PCH IubFP frame. The PCH IubFP frame includes Paging Indication (PI) and Paging Message. Paging message carries MBMS service information. MBMS Service Identity or MBMS Paging Indicator is added to the reserved 12 bits in Paging Indicator Channel (PICH) frame structure. Radio Network Controller (RNC) transfers Paging Indicator Message and paging message to Base Station (Node B) so as to send over the air-interface.

    摘要: Disclosed is a method for synchronizing a scrambling code in a CDMA communication system including a UTRAN (UMTS Terrestrial Radio Access Network) and a plurality of user equipments (UEs), using orthogonal codes for identifying the UEs and a single scrambling code for identifying the UTRAN by the UEs, and employing an uplink synchronous transmission scheme (USTS) where the UEs synchronize frames of uplink dedicated physical channels (DPCHs) using the single scrambling code. The UEs receive a reference signal including reference time information provided from the UTRAN and transmit a random access channel (RACH) based on the reference time. The UTRAN receives the random access channels from the UEs to measure a propagation delay time (PD) of each random access channel signal from the UEs, and transmits a transmission time adjustment value calculated using the measured propagation delay time and a time offset τDPCH,n between a transmission time point of the reference signal and a transmission time point of a downlink DPCH. Each UE determines a transmission time of the uplink DPCH by receiving the transmission time adjustment value, and scrambles a message with the orthogonal code and a scrambling code generated at the reference time, at the transmission time so determined as to transmit the message over the uplink DPCH.

    摘要: An apparatus randomly assigns downlink sub-frame time slots for transmitting user data in an NB-TDD CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) communication system. In the apparatus, a multiplexer creates a user data part by multiplexing user data for UEs (User Equipments), a TFCI (Transport Format Combination Indicator) symbol for the user data, and a TPC (Transmission Power Control command) symbol for controlling transmission power of a downlink channel, and a controller randomly assigns time slots for transmitting the user data part in the sub-frames, based on a time slot number initially assigned for the user data part, a sub-frame number at a transmission point of the user data part, and the number of assigned uplink time slots in the corresponding sub-frame.

    摘要: A method for minimizing overhead occurring caused by control information for encryption performed to protect MBMS data for an MBMS service in a mobile communication system. This method is implemented by distinguishing a case in which control information used for encryption is updated from another case in which the control information used for encryption is not updated, and transmitting different control information according to the distinguishment result. That is, when the control information used for encryption is not updated, only minimized control information is transmitted, and when the control information for encryption is updated, the entire updated control information is transmitted. Accordingly, the amount of control information transmitted along with MBMS data is minimized, contributing to an increase in the amount of MBMS data transmitted per unit time.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for providing an MBMS service to a plurality of cells in a mobile communication system are provided. In a mobile communication system including an RNC for providing an MBMS service and a plurality of Node Bs connected to the RNC, for providing the MBMS service to UEs within a plurality of cells. The RNC is configured to have a plurality of lower-layer entities corresponding to the cells. An RLC and PDCP entity that area common to the cells, receive MBMS data from an upper layer and transmit, upon receiving a request from one of the lower-layer entities, the MBMS data to the lower-layer entity. Therefore, the RNC can provide the MBMS service more efficiently, and unnecessary consumption of system resources is reduced.

    摘要: A method for enabling a user equipment (UE) to recover from a multimedia broadcast/multicast service (MBMS) data error in a mobile communication system. The mobile communication system includes a radio network controller (RNC) and at least one cell for transmitting MBMS data to at least one UE according to a control operation of the RNC. The RNC transmits first control information to UEs located in each cell. Each of the UEs receives the first control information and the MBMS data. When an error in the received MBMS data is detected, the RNC is notified that an MBMS data reception error has occurred. Response information associated with the MBMS data reception error is transmitted from the UE to the RNC. The UE determines whether control information contained in the response information matches the first control information. The MBMS data reception error is recovered from, according to a result of the determination.
