    Abstract: An example game controller is removably attachable to a main unit. The game controller includes a controller-side slide member. The controller-side slide member protrudes from a first surface of the game controller and is configured to slidably engage with the main unit-side slide member in a slide direction. The controller-side slide member has a first end and a second end in the slide direction, and the game controller is configured to be attached to the main unit by inserting the controller-side slide member into the main unit-side slide member. The controller-side slide member includes a protruding portion and at least one terminal. The protruding portion protrudes from the first end side of the controller-side slide member in the slide direction and has a facing surface that faces the first surface of the game controller. The at least one terminal is between the facing surface and the first surface.

    Abstract: A non-limiting example information processing apparatus may be a game apparatus that includes an upper housing and a lower housing. The upper housing is provided with a first LCD. The lower housing is provided with a second LCD, and a cross button is provided in a left side of the second LCD and push buttons and a pointing stick are provided in a right side of the second LCD. The pointing stick is constituted with a cap, a holder, an operating body and a sensor board. The operating body to which the sensor board is adhesively fixed is secured, in a plane, to the holder, and the cap is joined to an operating stick of the operating body with the holder interposed therebetween. Then, the holder is fixed, in a linear manner, to the lower housing at one side, and a movement toward a rear side is regulated at a side not fixed to the lower housing.

    Abstract: A non-limiting example charging stand comprises a main body that includes an outer side member and the inner side member. The inner side member has an inserting portion for inserting a portable game apparatus. The inserting portion is set with a depth that hides a portion of a hinge but does not hide a cover constituting a part of a housing of the portable game apparatus when inserting the folded portable game apparatus in a vertical orientation. Accordingly, when viewing the portable game apparatus inserted in the charging stand from the front, it is possible to see a color, a pattern or an image of character that is applied to the cover. At this time, a color, a pattern or an image of character that is applied to an outer circumference surface (front) of the charging stand can be also seen.
