摘要: An electrical connector includes: a contact module having an insulative housing, two rows of terminals affixed to the insulative housing, and a metal shielding plate, the insulative housing comprising an annular receiving groove, a base portion located behind the annular receiving groove, and a tongue portion extending forwardly from the annular receiving groove, each terminal having a contacting portion exposed to a surface of the tongue portion, a soldering portion, and a connecting portion; an inner metal shell attached to the contact module; and an outer shell enclosing the inner metal shell; the connecting portion has an exposed portion located at a rear end of the connecting portion and suspended in the annular receiving groove, the annular receiving groove receives glue to form a sealer sealing between the contact module and the outer shell, and the exposed portion is embedded in the glue.

摘要: A method of dry-mating a first connector part and a second connector part wherein the first and second connector parts are brought into a first mated state, wherein a seal is engaged between the first and second connector parts. A sealed inner space is formed between the first and second connector parts. The sealed inner space is evacuated through an evacuating port. The evacuation port is arranged such that it is located on an inner sealed side of the engaged seal in the first mated state. Further, the first connector part and the second connector part are brought into a second mated state, wherein a seal is engaged between the first connector part and the second connector part such that the evacuation port is located on an outer side of the engaged seal so that it is no longer in flow communication with the sealed inner space.

摘要: A device for preventing the intrusion of water or other liquids into the interior of an automatic splice. The device may be constructed in a single-piece or two-piece design and includes a series of fingers that contact the cable stranding and wick water away from the cable and out of the connector. These fingers could be integrally molded into the cable cone or molded as a separate piece and inserted. They could also be constructed of any typical brush material such as metal, plastic, rubber, or fiber. The fingers could be arranged in a variety of configurations.

摘要: A terminal strip and a method of improving a creepage dielectric strength of the same includes a base plate, a barrier, each constructed from an insulating material, and a plurality of terminals constructed from a conducting material. The terminals are connected to the base plate and spaced along a surface thereof. The barrier is disposed between adjacent terminals and configured such that the creepage dielectric strength of the insulating material between adjacent terminals is equal to or greater than a bulk dielectric strength of the insulating material between adjacent terminals.

摘要: A vehicle-side connector (10) is connected to a battery mounted in a vehicle and is configured so that a charging connector (50) connected to a charger is connectable thereto from the front. The vehicle-side connector (10) includes a forwardly open lock fitting (22) configured so that a tip part of a lock arm (54) in the charging connector (50) is fit therein from the front. A locked portion (25) in the lock fitting (22) is formed by mounting a metal lock plate (25B) on a base (25A). The lock plate (25B) is made of metal and is configured so that the tip part of the lock arm (54) is to be locked thereto. A mounting hole (25C) for mounting the lock plate (25B) from behind is formed on a back wall (22B) of the lock fitting (22) and a cover (15) is provided to close the mounting hole (25C).
