    Abstract: A MoCA splitter device may include an input port, a first output port and a second output port, a first transmission line configured to connect the input port to the first output port, a second transmission line configured to connect the input port to the first output port, a first isolation element configured to connect the first transmission line to the second transmission line, a second isolation element configured to connecting the first transmission line to the second transmission line. The first isolation element and the second isolation element are configured to provide an isolation level between the first output port and the second output port that is less than a predetermined isolation level of about less than 16 dB in a MoCA frequency band.

The adapter and/or adapter system may include a receiver that may be configured to receive wireless signals over a first wired connection, and that may be configured to receive the wireless signals and to direct the wireless signals to a first wireless device. The receiver also may be configured to direct the wireless signals over a second wired connection to a second wireless adapter so as to configure the second wireless adapter to wirelessly transmit the wireless signals to a second wireless device so as to extend the wireless range.     Abstract: A passive entry adapter system includes an external band rejection filter connected to an external network; an entry adapter connected to the external band rejection filter, an input port connecting the entry adapter to the external network; a directional coupler connected to the input port; a frequency-based signal separation device connected to a first terminal and comprising a high-pass terminal, and a low-pass terminal; a splitter connected to the high-pass terminal, where the splitter is configured to be connected to one or more first types of devices; and a broadband output port connected to a second terminal of the directional coupler. The broadband output is configured to be connected to one or more second types of devices. The entry adapter and the external band rejection filter are configured to prevent signals from a frequency band associated with in-network communications produced within an internal network from reaching the external network.

    Abstract: A Docsis-MoCA coupled line directional coupler includes an input port, an output port, a coupled port, and a termination port. A first track connects the input port to the output port and a second track, which may be substantially parallel to the first track, connects the termination port to the coupled port. The first track and the second track are configured to form a variable coupling length so as to control, for instance, an isolation level between the output port and the coupled port to be less than a predetermined isolation level in a MoCA frequency band.

    Abstract: A system includes a cable television (CATV) device that is configured to transmit and receive signals in a first bandwidth and signals in a second bandwidth. The first bandwidth is higher than the second bandwidth. The system also includes an in-home network splitter that includes an input, a common node, and a plurality of outputs. The input is configured to be connected to the CATV device. The system also includes a reflection-less in-home network adapter (RNA) configured to be connected to and positioned between the input and the common node. The RNA allows the signals in the first bandwidth to pass from the input to the plurality of outputs and from the plurality of outputs to the input. The RNA prevents the signals in the second bandwidth from passing from the input to the plurality of outputs, from the plurality of outputs to the input, or both.

    Abstract: A network interface device includes an input-output port; an entry port; an upstream signal path configured to carry an upstream signal from the input-output port to the entry port; a noise suppressor, in the upstream signal path, that includes noise suppression paths between the input-output and entry ports; and a controller configured to: determine a first power level of the upstream signal in a first frequency band; determine a second power level of the upstream signal in a second frequency band; generate a control signal based on a first comparison of the first and second power levels, on a second comparison of the second power level with a threshold limit, or on the first comparison of the first and second power levels and on the second comparison of the second power level with the threshold limit; and select one of the noise suppression paths based on the control signal.
