    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that may enable a user equipment (UE) to transmit sidelink data within an interference avoidance resource scheduling scheme. For example, a UE may determine to segment a data packet for transmission in a vehicle-to-everything (V2x) system (e.g., to ensure that each segment fits within one transmission time interval (TTI)). In some cases, a UE may identify a data packet for transmission, may determine that the size of the data packet exceeds a threshold size, may segment the data packet to ensure each segment fits within one TTI, and may transmit the data packet segments (e.g., to additional UEs), where said transmissions may be discontinuous. In some examples, a UE may determine to segment the data packet and then encode the data packet. Additionally or alternatively, the UE may determine to encode the data packet and then segment the data packet.

    Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, and computer-readable mediums for wireless communication are disclosed by the present disclosure. In an example, a host wireless device may transmit a discovery message to a client wireless device. The client wireless device may transmit a random access channel (RACH) preamble on a first time domain resource to the host wireless device in response to the discovery message. The client wireless device may later transmit a second RACH message to the host device on a second time domain resource after the first time domain resource. The second time domain resource may be defined by a mapping from the first time domain resource. The host device may transmit a third RACH message establishing a communication session between the host wireless device and the client wireless device.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a packet at a transmitter of the UE for transmission in a sidelink network. The UE may select one or more resources for transmission of the packet based at least in part on a reservation status of the one or more resources, wherein at least one of the one or more resources is a reserved resource that is reserved by another UE. The UE may transmit the packet using the one or more resources based at least in part on selecting the one or more resources. Numerous other aspects are provided.

    Abstract: Techniques described herein provide for the efficient usage of an RF channel for PRS transmissions by performing LBT sensing for a group of one or more vehicles (e.g., V2X vehicles) in a predetermined area by using an RSU. The RSU can determine a sequence in which an order for each vehicle in the group to transmit a respective PRS is defined, and provide the sequence to the group. The RSU may further perform the LBT functionality by listening to availability on the RF channel and, when the channel becomes available, the RSU can initiate this sequence by sending an initial PRS. This LBT sensing for a group can provide far more efficient usage of the RF channel than if LBT functionality were performed by each divisional vehicle.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A receiving device (e.g., a base station and/or a user equipment) may receive, over a control channel, a first control signal identifying first scheduling information for a data transmission to the receiving device. The receiving device may determine a number of resource elements of a shared channel for a second control signal based at least in part on a first modulation and coding scheme (MCS) table associated with the second control signal. The receiving device may receive, over the resource elements of the shared channel and based at least in part on the first control signal, the second control signal identifying second scheduling information for the data transmission. The receiving device may decode the second control signal based at least in part on the first MCS table.
