摘要： The invention is related to an apparatus comprising a dispense interface for use with a drug delivery device, the dispense interface comprising a lockout element being arranged at least partially between an outer body of the dispense interface and an inner body of the dispense interface and wherein the lockout element is configured to be removeably maintained in a first position, such that when the dispense interface is first attached and then removed from said drug delivery device, the lockout element moves into a second position, wherein the lockout element in the second position is configured to prevent said dispense interface from being reattached to a drug delivery device.

摘要： A medicament delivery device is presented for the administration of one or more drug agents, wherein the device comprises a retainer for holding a medicament cartridge. The retainer is moveable between an open and closed position. A position sensor for generating a position output is indicative of whether the retainer is in the open or closed position. Further, a cartridge sensor generates a cartridge output indicative of whether the retainer is holding a medicament cartridge. A controller controls a predetermined operation of the device in dependence on the output of the position sensor and on the output of the cartridge sensor.

摘要： A pen-type injector is improved so that a user may select a delivery dose of a medicinal product from a multidose cartridge. The injector includes a housing, the cartridge containing the medicinal product retained within the housing, a piston rod, a dose selecting member to select the dose of the medicinal product to be expelled, and a drive member to expel the selected dose of the medicinal product. The housing is formed unitary so that the dose selecting member and the drive member are moveably retained within the housing. The injector may include a ratchet associated with an insert to ensure the piston rod only rotates in a single direction through the insert, a button located on the drive sleeve, and a clutch which upon depression of the button prevents rotation between the dose dial sleeve and the drive sleeve.

The dose setting mechanism may include an inner body having a helical thread along an outer cylindrical surface of the inner body, and a drive sleeve for driving a piston rod in an axial direction, the drive sleeve positioned within at least a portion of the inner body. The dose setting mechanism may further include a dose dial sleeve rotatably engaged with the helical thread of the inner body and a dial grip connected to the dose dial sleeve and releasably connected to the drive sleeve. Further when a dose is set, the dial grip is rotated so that both the dose dial sleeve and the drive sleeve rotate with respect to the inner body.

The bottom surface may be used to apply the identifier to a surface of the medicament reservoir. A first three-dimensional feature is attached to the sheet of material. The three-dimensional feature may be representative of a medicament contained in the reservoir and may further comprise an alignment feature. In addition, the three-dimensional feature may be coded for a particular drug delivery device. Such drug delivery devices could comprise pen type drug delivery devices.

摘要： A drive mechanism suitable for use in drug delivery devices is disclosed. The drive mechanism may be used with injector-type drug delivery devices, such as those permitting a user to set the delivery dose. The drive mechanism may include a housing, a piston rod, and a unidirectional coupling between the housing and the piston rod. The drive mechanism may also include a dose dial sleeve and a drive sleeve, with a clutch mean located therebetween to prevent relative rotation between the dial sleeve and the drive sleeve when in a coupled state and to permit relative rotation between the dial sleeve and the drive sleeve when in a de-coupled state.
