摘要: A system and method of identifying a patient interface device change in a pressure support system having a controller based on a mask and a headgear worn by a user. A set of force sensors and strap distance sensors are associated with the mask and the headgear such that a controller is able to assess current operational parameters of the mask and headgear. The controller further determines if there is a difference in the current operational parameters when compared to prestored operational parameters. The controller then assesses whether or not the determined change in the operational parameters indicates that the mask worn by the user has been changed.

摘要: A medical fluid delivery system and apparatus for remote machine updating and control are disclosed. An example medical fluid delivery apparatus includes a processor and a dialysis fluid circuit including at least one dialysis fluid pump. The processor determines a dialysis treatment or a preprogrammed task is not being performed by the least one dialysis fluid pump. After determining a dialysis treatment or a preprogrammed task is not being performed, the processor activates a connectivity agent to communicatively couple to a server via a network. The processor then receives, from the server via the connectivity agent, a command message to perform a preprogrammed task. The processor next deactivates the connectivity agent to stop communication with the server and causes the at least one dialysis fluid pump to perform the preprogrammed task.

摘要: Methods and apparatus provide communications among respiratory therapy device (“TD”), server and intermediary (e.g., a control device (“CTLD”) for the therapy device) to improve security. More secure communication channel(s) may be established using shared secrets derived with different channels. The communications may include transmitting therapy data from TD to server for authentication. The CTLD may receive the data and a nonce from a server. The CTLD receives from the TD a signing key dependent on the nonce and a secret shared by TD and server. The CTLD generates an authorisation code with received therapy data and the key for authentication of the data by the server upon its receipt of the code and data. The server computes (1) a key from the nonce and the secret known to TD, and (2) another authorisation code from received therapy data and the key. Data authentication may involve comparing received and computed codes.

摘要: Disclosed is an auto injector for administering a medicament. The auto injector comprising: a housing; a cartridge receiver configured to receive a cartridge assembly comprising a cartridge and a cartridge code feature, the cartridge containing the medicament; a code sensor configured to read the cartridge code feature; a drive module coupled to move a plunger rod; and a processing unit coupled to the code sensor and the drive module. The processing unit being configured to: receive from the code sensor a code signal indicative of the cartridge code feature; control the drive module to move the plunger rod to a first plunger rod position, the first plunger rod position being based on the code signal; receive a trigger event; control the drive module to move the plunger rod to a second plunger rod position following reception of the trigger event.

摘要: A drug delivery device capable of forming a medicated mist that reaches the nasal and paranasal sinus cavities contains a puncturing element within its canister. The puncturing element is used in combination with a compartment that contains a filling. The compartment is optionally detachable from an interior of the device or entirely separate from the device. The puncturing element punctures the compartment, releasing the filling into the reservoir of the device to provide a medicated liquid. The device may store any form of medication so long as the medication remains stable. When dry powder forms are desired, the reservoir and/or compartment may be filled with a solution or diluent so as to form the medicated liquid, which may then be dispensed as a mist through the device following the puncturing.
