    Abstract: A system for surveying internal pipeline scaling includes a control system, a gauge cutter, a scale recorder, and a wireline. The control system communicates with the scale recorder to obtain scale recorder data and acoustic images. The gauge cutter dislodges scaling debris from an interior wall of the pipeline and includes a fluid permeable screen which collects the dislodged scaling debris. The scale recorder obtains scale recorder data and acoustic images, and includes an ultrasound wave transmitter, an ultrasound wave receiver, a processor, a memory, and a communication interface. The wireline lowers the gauge cutter in the pipeline and is coupled to the control system and the communication interface.

    Abstract: A method of treating a subterranean formation to protect against solid deposition and corrosion attack includes flowing a pre-flush fluid to a specified downhole location within the subterranean formation. A main treatment fluid is flowed to the specified downhole location. The main treatment fluid includes a scale inhibitor configured to inhibit formation of scale within the subterranean formation. At a subsurface level, an overflush foam is generated. The overflush foam includes an aqueous fluid and a gas. The overflush foam is shear thinning and non-Newtonian. The overflush foam is flowed to the specified downhole location.

    Abstract: A well treatment composition may include a capsule and a treatment agent solution within the capsule. The treatment agent solution may have a treatment agent. The system may include a radiation source: neutron, gamma, X-ray, and/or ultraviolet. A method may include introducing the well treatment composition downhole in wellbore circulation fluid, and introducing a radiation source into the wellbore and positioning the radiation source. The method may include activating the radiation source and emitting radiation that intermingles with the well treatment composition at a target location. The method may include maintaining the wellbore to allow emitted radiation from the activated radiation source to react with the well treatment composition, forming a radiation activated well treatment composition. The method may include allowing the radiation activated well treatment composition to disintegrate or dissolve, breaking encapsulation and releasing treatment agent at the target location.

    Abstract: A system and a method for implementing a squeeze treatment to apply a scale inhibitor in a wellbore are provided. An exemplary method includes mixing a scale inhibitor pill. The scale inhibitor pill includes polyamino polyether methylene phosphonic acid (PAPEMP) and amino trimethylene phosphonic acid (ATMP). Pre-flush chemicals are injected into the wellbore. The scale inhibitor pill is injected into the wellbore. An over flush is injected into the wellbore. The wellbore is shut in for a target period of time and normal production is resumed.

    Abstract: Systems and methods for cleaning an internal bore of a tubular member with a pipeline pig include a pipeline pig having a pig body with a fore end and an aft end opposite the fore end. A cup circumscribes the pig body, where an outer diameter lip of the cup engages a surface of the internal bore of the tubular member. A scraper assembly includes a scraper arm extending radially outward from the pig body and a spring biasing the scraper arm in a radially outward direction. A load cell is positioned to measure a movement of the scraper arm in a radially inward direction. A treatment trigger is actuated by a treatment signal from the load cell to deliver a treatment system to the internal bore of the tubular member, where the treatment signal is generated by the movement of the scraper arm in the radially inward direction.
