A library preparation device of the biological analysis system may perform a library preparation protocol on a biological sample, where the library preparation protocol is determined based on information from an encoded identifier associated with the biological sample and a resource to be used by the library preparation device. A sequencing device may perform a sequencing process on a library prepared by the library preparation device. Configuration of the sequencing device to perform the process may include receiving sample information generated by the library preparation device and processing the sample information to generate configuration information for the sequencing device. Results from the sequencing process may be analyzed to determine nucleic acid sequences based on the sample information.

A sample preprocessing system is capable of reducing centrifuging time, which accounts for the majority of time required for a preprocessing step, and at the same time, performing centrifuging under various conditions. A system management unit ascertains the states of a plurality of centrifuge devices, particularly comparing centrifuging start times and centrifuging termination times for the respective centrifuge devices, and selects the centrifuge device for which the processing time is shortest. Specifically, the system includes an adapter that forms a plurality of batches, a gripper to transfer a sample to the adapter, a plurality of centrifuge rotors that centrifuge the adapter in batch units, and a computer programmed to calculate, in advance, a start timing and a termination timing of the centrifuging in batch units, and the batch, into which samples are transferred, is controlled on the basis of at least one of the calculated start timing and termination timing.

The reagent container lid opening and closing mechanism opens and closes the lids 101a-101c. The lid holding mechanism 131 holds the lids 101a opened by the reagent container lid opening and closing mechanism.

The present disclosure provides an automated system for processing of tissue. The system comprises a plurality of containers for storing at least one of tissue samples, buffer solutions, enzymes and other reagents, tissue processing container for processing of the tissue, and a robotic assembly coupled to the tissue processing container. The robotic assembly is configured to: carry the tissue processing container towards each of the plurality of containers, and align an inlet port of the tissue processing container with an outlet port of each of the plurality of containers for collecting the liquids, and moves the tissue processing container in multiple-planes to perform at least one of the washing processes, digestion process, phase separation process and combination thereof. The system also comprises of a control unit interfaced with the robotic assembly for controlling operations of the robotic assembly while processing the tissue.
