Abstract: A method is performed in a first infrastructure equipment for a handover of a wireless device from the first infrastructure equipment as a source to a second infrastructure equipment as a target. The method comprises maintaining a mapping between a plurality of packet bearers and a data radio bearer for the wireless device, each of the plurality of packet bearers being configured to provide a specified quality of service, determining that the wireless device should handover from the first infrastructure equipment to the second infrastructure equipment, determining that the second infrastructure equipment does not support the mapping of the plurality of packet bearers to the data radio bearer, and providing an indication of a mapping of the plurality of packet bearers for the second infrastructure equipment after handover to one of a core network equipment and the second infrastructure equipment.

Abstract: The controller circuitry is configured to identify one of the plurality of different position assistance information for use by the terminal device to identify a position of the terminal device, and to estimate the position of the terminal device by combining the identified position assistance information with the radio signal received by the position detection receiver circuitry. The position assistance information is identified in accordance with a permission allocated to the terminal device. By providing system information which is unencrypted and other system information which is encrypted, conditional access to the position assistance information can be provided in which a lowest level of position assistance information can provide the least level of position estimation accuracy.

Abstract: A method for operating an infrastructure equipment forming part of a wireless communications network is provided. The wake-up signal comprises a preamble formed by a plurality of Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexed, OFDM, symbols, each of the OFDM symbols being modulated with a reference sequence.

Abstract: A method for controlling a connection procedure for a terminal device requesting a radio connection to a cell supported by network infrastructure equipment in a wireless telecommunication system, the method comprising: determining, at the terminal device, that a request to connect to the cell supported by the network infrastructure equipment is to be made, establishing, at the terminal device, application information relating to an operating context for the terminal device: transmitting a connection request message from the terminal device to the network infrastructure equipment, wherein the connection request message comprises a request for the terminal device to connect to the cell and an indication of the application information; and determining, at the network infrastructure equipment, whether to allow the request for the terminal device to connect to the cell based, at least in part, on the application information received by the network infrastructure equipment from the terminal device.
