Abstract: A method for supporting a device to device (D2D) communication in a base station of a mobile communication system according to one embodiment of the present specification comprises the steps of: determining one or more device groups including one or more devices among a plurality of devices; determining radio resources for measuring channels for the determined device groups; and transmitting, to the devices included in the respective groups, information on the radio resources for measuring the channels corresponding to the groups. According to the embodiment of the present specification, complexity of measuring a channel state in the D2D communication is reduced, and many more devices can measure the channel state using limited radio resources and can transmit and receive data. The present disclosure relates to re-5th-Generation (5G) or 5G communication system to be provided for supporting higher data rates Beyond 4th-Generation (4G) communication system such as Long Term Evolution (LTE).

The electronic device includes a first electromagnet mounted to a side surface of the electronic device and configured to generate a magnetic force, a data channel terminal configured to transmit and receive a signal for detecting whether another electronic device is attached, and a processor configured to determine at least one of a polarity and a strength of the magnetic force of the first electromagnet for an attachment or detachment between the electronic device and the other electronic device, control the first electromagnet according to at least one of the determined polarity and strength, and detect an attachment or detachment state between the electronic device and the other electronic device.

Abstract: A system and a method for a base station to reduce signaling overhead in device-to-device (D2D) communication are provided. The method includes a list of one or more destination identities (IDs) in a signaling message from at least one of UE and source base station, receiving a destination index in a buffer status report (BSR) from UE to request dedicated resources for transmitting D2D communication packets to a destination, determining the destination ID corresponding to destination index received in the BSR using the list of one or more destination IDs received from at least one of UE and source base station wherein the destination index is the index of destination ID in the list of destination IDs received, and allocating resources to the UE based on the determined destination ID.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a pre-5th-Generation (5G) or 5G communication system to be provided for supporting higher data rates Beyond 4th-Generation (4G) communication system such as Long Term Evolution (LTE). The various embodiments of the present invention disclose a method of secured transmission and reception of discovery message in device to device (D2D) communication system. According to one embodiment, a transmitting user equipment (UE) receives a ProSe group key (PGK) from a Prose function to perform a D2D communication in a D2D public safety group. The transmitting UE then derives a ProSe traffic key (PTK) using the PGK for transmitting data packets in the D2D communication. Using the PTK, the transmitting UE further derives a Prose integrity protection key (PIK) for securing a discovery message to discover one or more receiving UEs. The transmitting UE transmits the integrity protected discovery message using the derived PIK to the receiving UE. In turn, the receiving UE transmits a response message in a secure manner by deriving a PIK using PGK configured for the receiving UE. The various embodiments of the present invention disclose a method of a terminal. According to one embodiment, the method comprises of deriving a first traffic key and a second traffic key based on a group key, deriving a first security key for securing a discovery message based on the first traffic key and a second security key for securing data packets based on the second traffic key, and transmitting the discovery message generated based on the first security key.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a 5G or pre-5G communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate than a 4G communication system such as LTE. A security problem in which information of a monitoring device is provided to another PLMN exists in the procedure for connecting ProSe Functions of two PLMNs and transmitting and receiving information therebetween, and thus, configuration of a D2D discovery service between different providers (inter PLMN) is difficult in reality, despite being defined in the standard. Therefore, the present invention provides a method of using a content server with an existing D2D discovery method in order to advertise, through D2D discovery, real-time local area advertisements to device of a plurality of providers. A monitoring device requests advertisement information directly from a content server, or requests advertisement information from a different PLMN ProSe Function, and thereby the other PLMN ProSe Function may request advertisement information from a content server.
