    摘要: A fixing device of belt fixing type is provided. A heat generating member that is a heat generating source for heating a fixing belt has a heat generating layer composed of a resistance heat generating element that generates heat due to being energized. The resistance heat generating element includes a paper passing region heating section and a detecting section provided on an end portion in an axial direction of the heat generating member and electrically connected in parallel with the paper passing region heating section. Furthermore, in a vicinity of the detecting section, an overheat preventing element that suppresses energization to the resistance heat generating element when temperature of the detecting section reaches a predetermined value, is provided.

    摘要: A planar heat generating element includes an insulating layer and a resistance heat generator formed on one surface in a thickness direction of the insulating layer, for generating heat under a passage of electric current therethrough, the resistance heat generator constituting a plane of certain configuration as a whole and forming a heat generating pattern. The resistance heat generator includes a plurality of linear portions formed on one surface of the insulating layer that extend transversely with respect to a longitudinal direction of the insulating layer, the linear portions being arranged side by side substantially in parallel to each other; and a low-volume resistivity portion formed on the one surface so as to extend in the longitudinal direction of the insulating layer, and connecting the adjacent linear portions at their extending direction-wise ends to form a single line composed of the adjacent linear portions and the low-volume resistivity portion.

    摘要: A fixing device is provided that suppresses loss in heat radiation from both ends in a longitudinal direction which is a direction corresponding to an axial direction of a fixing roller in a heating member so as to be able to uniform distribution of a temperature in the longitudinal direction of the heating member and to attain uniform fixing capability. A planar heat generating element provided in a heating member includes electrodes at both ends in a circumferential direction so that a flowing direction of current flowing through the planar heat generating element is a direction substantially orthogonal to a longitudinal direction as a direction extending along an axial direction of a fixing roller in the planar heat generating element. The planar heat generating element is constituted so that the both ends in the longitudinal direction thereof have larger thickness than that of a center part thereof.

    摘要: A method of determining the charge and/or discharge capacities of non-aqueous batteries with an operating voltage of about 4 volts, is provided including determining an inverse molar susceptibility value at each of a plurality of different temperatures for a plurality of lithium manganese spinel oxide cathode materials having different respective Mn valencies; plotting the inverse molar susceptibility values against temperatures for each of the plurality of lithium manganese spinel oxide cathode materials; determining values of at least one of two paramagnetic parameters, Weiss temperature and effective magnetic moment, by obtaining the temperature dependence of the above inverse molar susceptibility from a plot derived from the Curie-Weiss law, the Weiss temperature corresponding to a temperature value extrapolated to a zero point of the inverse molar susceptibility and the effective magnetic moment being obtainable from the gradient value of the plot; producing plural rechargeable lithium batteries in which lithium manganese spinel oxides with well-defined Mn valencies are used as cathode materials, and finding at least one of the charge or discharge capacities around 4V for each of the batteries; providing at least one correlation curve between the above-found charge and/or discharge capacities and the above-found at least one paramagnetic parameter value; and obtaining charge and/or discharge capacities for a rechargeable lithium battery containing a lithium manganese spinel oxide whose charge and/or discharge capacities are being sought from the at lest one determined paramagnetic parameter value using the at least one correlation curve. A method of determining the charge and/or discharge capacities of non-aqueous batteries with an operating voltage of about 4 volts, is also provided which includes determining a spontaneous magnetization value for each of a plurality of lithium manganese spinel oxide cathode materials having a different respective Mn valency by determining a magnetization value of each of a plurality of magnetic fields at a constant temperature to obtain and thereafter use a correlation curve.
