Abstract: A bicycle control apparatus is basically provided with a controller. The controller includes a processor, a memory, and an I/O interface. The controller is arranged to communicate with an assist mechanism of a bicycle. The assist mechanism includes an assist motor arranged to impart a supplemental drive force to the bicycle to supplement a manual drive force of the bicycle. The controller is programmed to alternately set a first control state or a second control state. The controller controls the assist motor such that an output state of the assist motor with respect to a manual drive force of the bicycle is different in the first control state than in the second control state.

Abstract: A bicycle controller includes an electronic control unit controlling output of a motor that assists in propelling of a bicycle based on a manual driving force input to the bicycle. The electronic control unit further configured to control the motor in any one of operation modes including first, second and another operation modes, which control the output of the motor based on the manual driving force. The other operation mode excludes the first and second operation modes. In the first operation mode, the upper limit of output torque of the motor is a first value. In the second operation mode, the upper limit of output torque of the motor is a second value, which is 1.5 times or more than the first value. In the other operation mode, the upper limit of the output torque of the motor is the first value or less, or the second value or greater.

Abstract: A bicycle control apparatus is basically provided for controlling a bicycle having a drive assistance electric motor. The bicycle control apparatus includes a manual drive force detector, a rotational state detector and a controller. The manual drive force detector detects a manual drive force. The rotational state detector detects a rotational state of the crank. The controller issues a command for controlling a drive assistance force to be outputted by the drive assistance electric motor in accordance with the manual drive force detected by the manual drive force detector. The controller controls the drive assistance force to delay a reduction in the drive assistance force in relation to a reduction in the manual drive force upon determining the manual drive force is reduced, and controls the delay in the reduction of the drive assistance force in accordance with the rotational state of the crank.
