Abstract:
A wear-resistant bearing system utilizes a grid pattern of wear-resistant material. In instances where two bearing surfaces slide with respect to one another, such as with a thrust bearing, wear-resistant material strips are inlaid in the surrounding support material. The strips of wear-resistant material are arranged on each component such that the strips intersect one another when one component is moved with respect to the other. This transverse relationship or grid pattern promotes extremely long component life.
Abstract:
Insulated doors with restorable breakaway sections are disclosed. An example door includes a first panel assembly including a leading panel and a trailing panel. The leading panel is to be in substantially coplanar alignment with the trailing panel when the first panel assembly is in a normal configuration. The leading panel is to be angularly displaced out of coplanar alignment with the trailing panel when the first panel assembly is in a dislodged configuration. The example door further includes a tension member to connect the leading panel to the trailing panel. The tension member is to resiliently urge the leading panel and the trailing panel toward each other in a horizontal direction. The tension member is to resiliently urge the first panel assembly toward the normal configuration when the first panel assembly is in the dislodged configuration.
Abstract:
Air cleaner and preferred components for an air cleaner are provided. In certain arrangements, a band is permanently mounted to the media pack, surrounding the media. Also, the cartridge is non-circular and includes a radial seal thereon.
Abstract:
A wire (10) for use in a brazing or soldering operation has an elongated body (12) of a metallic material. The elongated body (12) has an outer surface (18). A channel (14) is formed along a length of the body. The channel (14) has an opening (A1). A flux solution (22) is deposited within the channel (14) and along the length of the body. The flux solution (22) covers a portion of the outer surface (18). A portion of the flux solution (22) is exposed through the opening (A1) in the channel (14).
Abstract:
An improved lead foil operation procedure for photovoltaic module manufacture is disclosed. The procedure includes lift, cut, and fold lead foil.

Abstract:
An air cleaner and preferred components for an air cleaner are provided. In one arrangement, the air cleaner includes a band or cassette component, configured for removably receiving a z-filter media pack therein, during use. In another arrangement, the band is permanently mounted of the media pack. Air cleaner arrangements configured for use of the cassette or band therewith included an arrangement with a central housing section for receipt of the main filter cartridge and cassette, and which has thereon a mounting arrangement with 3 mountable sides. Preferred precleaner arrangements and outlet tube arrangements can be secured to the center housing section.
Abstract:
An electrical cable having a holding member arranged longitudinally along the cable for an optic fiber, which can be used for temperature sensing and/or communications. The holding member can replace one or more strands of the cable, be placed inside an interstice of the cable, be placed in between various layers of the cable, or placed in the jacket of the cable. The cable can be produced through the addition of a planetary strander device to a wire assembly apparatus.
Abstract:
A system, computer program product and method for playing casino games in a remote location. Input from a user of a terminal selecting a casino game to be played on the terminal may be received. The selected casino game may then be displayed on the terminal. Input from the user of the terminal selecting a play in the displayed casino game may be further received. A table may be searched to determine an action the user of the terminal selected to be performed in the casino game using the input from the user. The action to be performed in the casino game may then be transmitted to a processor of a gaming device. A next screen to be displayed to the user after the user's selected action is performed may be received from the gaming device. This next screen may be transmitted to the terminal to be displayed to the user.
Abstract:
A quick connect/disconnect system for an offshore oil/gas production platform is facilitated by a submerged connection header for the platform. The platform comprises a vessel with a connection bay on vessel bottom. The vessel has the ability to be ballasted to position the connection bay either for connection or for transport toward and away from the connection header. The connection header houses the production lines and control lines and is positively buoyed and held in place by tension cables extending from the header bottom to the ocean floor. The quick connect/disconnect system comprises couplers for the production lines and control lines and devices for releasably linking the header to the vessel bay whereby the vessel may be held in a state of positive buoyancy by appropriately deballasting the vessel. The quick connect/disconnect system includes a device for forcing apart the header from the vessel to break linking devices and coupling devices thereby permitting the vessel to move upwardly away from the connection header.
