摘要： A precleaner arrangement for use in separating a portion of entrained material in air from air entering an air cleaner, is provided. The precleaner arrangement includes a vane structure positioned to direct air into a circular or cyclonic pattern, to facilitate material separation. The vane structure includes one or more adjustable air deflection vanes. Each adjustable air deflection vane is constructed: to have a first position under no air flow or low air flow rate conditions; and, to deflect to import a more open, lower restriction, orientation under increased air flow rates. Preferred precleaner arrangement constructions, assemblies utilizing in the precleaner arrangement and methods are described.

The apparatus includes a muffler arrangement having an exhaust inlet and an exhaust outlet in construct and arrange for sound attenuation therein. The apparatus also includes a catalytic converter arrangement positioned within the muffler arrangement between the exhaust inlet and exhaust outlet. During operation, the exhaust flow is directed both through the muffler arrangement and the catalytic converter arrangement, to advantage.

In one arrangement, the air cleaner includes a band or cassette component, configured for removably receiving a z-filter media pack therein, during use. In another arrangement, the band is permanently mounted of the media pack. Air cleaner arrangements configured for use of the cassette or band therewith included an arrangement with a central housing section for receipt of the main filter cartridge and cassette, and which has thereon a mounting arrangement with 3 mountable sides. Preferred precleaner arrangements and outlet tube arrangements can be secured to the center housing section.
