摘要： A storage management system for managing, in a computer system, access to a storage area for storing data, the computer system includes: a storage system that provides the storage area; a host computer system that mounts the storage area of the storage system via a network; and a maintenance system that performs maintenance for the storage area of the storage system, the storage management system includes: a mounting decision module that decides, according to a preestablished maintenance schedule, whether the host computer system is currently mounting the storage area of the storage system; a maintenance instruction module that instructs the maintenance system to execute the scheduled maintenance when the mounting decision module decides that the host computer system is not currently mounting the storage area; a host-on detecting module that detects a boot of the host computer system; a maintenance decision module that decides whether the maintenance system is currently performing the maintenance for the storage area when the host-on detecting module detects the boot of the host computer system; and a mounting enabling module that enables the host computer system to mount the storage area of the storage system when the maintenance decision module decides that the maintenance system is not currently performing the maintenance for the storage area.

The system, method and apparatus enable sharing of storage devices so as to enable users to use logical units assigned to the users in any computers in a system using storage devices complying with the iSCSI protocol, connected to networks, such as IP networks, through node devices, such as cache devices and gateway devices.

摘要： A parallel processing method for use with a graphics processor wherein graphics processing is performed by each of configured command processors efficiently in a distributed manner, with a host CPU remaining unaware of the number of command processors. Each command group of a variable length from a host CPU is distributed from an FIFO queue to a plurality of parallelly arranged command processors for parallel processing through any free one of input FIFO queues corresponding to the command processors. Upon command group distribution, an identical serial number is added as a command group serial number to the commands constituting the same command group. The results of processing of individual graphics commands by the command processors are collected via output FIFO queues, which also correspond to the processors, in the order of the command group serial numbers added to the commands before the processed results are graphically drawn.

摘要： An elongated toner box extending in a horizontal direction has a cylindrical portion where a toner discharge port is formed. A wrapping member serving as a shutter is rotatably disposed over the cylindrical portion for selectively shutting off the toner discharge port. The wrapping member has a circular shape concentrical with the cylindrical portion. A developing case is provided to which the toner box is detachably installable. The developing case has a wall confronting the toner box, and a toner inlet port is formed at the wall. A toner inlet shutter is slidably movably supported to the partition wall. When the wrapping member opens and closes the toner discharge port, the wrapping member is positioned close to the outer surface of the toner box and does not largely protrude from the toner box. Further, the discharge port shutter and the inlet port shutter are movable in interlocking relation with each other.
