摘要: A canister comprises a tank port communicated with an upper air chamber in a closed fuel tank, a purge port communicated with an intake passage of an engine, an atmospheric port opened to the atmosphere, and a main adsorbent chamber containing activated carbon, and the canister is further provided with a partition plate between the tank port and the purge port for preventing both ports from being directly communicated with each other, so as to form a first chamber between the main adsorbent chamber and the tank port, and a second chamber between the main adsorbent chamber and the purge port, and a purge buffer plate is further provided in the main adsorbent chamber between the tank port and the purge port, for communicating between the first and second chambers with each other, the first chamber serves as an air chamber containing no activated carbon while the second chamber contains activated carbon. With this configuration, the canister has no external pipe line, the time change in fuel concentration of purged gas during treatment of evaporated fuel from the fuel tank is moderated in order to restrain an engine air-fuel ratio from being abruptly changed, and the operation ability of the engine can be satisfied.

摘要: A developing apparatus has a developer supporting member 41 with a surface roughness RZ in the range from 3.0 to 5.5 &mgr;m and a one-component developer T with a bulk density in the range from 0.35 to 0.55 g/ml, and an image is developed by forming a layer of the developer T on the developer supporting member 41. This makes it possible to form a thin toner layer stably despite changes in ambient conditions, and to prevent low image density and fogging. The absolute value of the amount of electric charge with which the developer T is charged is preferably in the range from 3.0 to 10.0 &mgr;C/g. The developer supporting member 41 is made preferably of stainless steel.

摘要: Fuel supply pipe 43 includes a fixed fuel supply pipe 43b that comprises a metal, such as stainless steel, and connecting fuel supply pipes 43a, 43c that comprise a resin or similar material. The bulk resistivity of connecting fuel supply pipes 43a, 43c is chosen to be within the range from 107 to 1011 &OHgr;·cm. By doing this, the amount of electric charge that builds up in the fuel when the fuel passes through connecting fuel supply pipes 43a, 43c can be held low. Further, the electric charge that builds up on connecting fuel supply pipes 43a, 43c is not rapidly discharged. Therefore, spark discharge can be prevented from being generated on connecting fuel supply pipe 43a. Connecting fuel supply pipes 43a, 43c may have a multi-layer structure that includes an innermost layer having a bulk resistivity of 107 to 1011 &OHgr;·cm and an outermost layer having a bulk resistivity of about 1012 &OHgr;·cm or more.

摘要: The present invention provides a method for impression development which comprises forming a thin layer of a toner on a surface of a developing roller with a plate-like rigid member, and developing an electrostatic latent image formed on a photoconductor by contacting the thin layer with the electrostatic latent image. The toner comprises toner particles, and prescribed amount of inorganic fine particles (mean particle diameter of 0.1 to 1.0 .mu.m on the volume basis), and/or comprises toner particles which have prescribed distribution of the odd-shape degree of the toner particle (mean value of the odd-shape degree and the proportion of the number of toner particles having the odd-shape degree of not more than 0.2). According to the method for impression development, it becomes possible to form an image having no failures and good image quality.

摘要: There is disclosed a positive charging type electrophotographic toner comprising a fixing resin, and a colorant and an electric charge controlling material, which are contained in the fixing resin, the electric charge controlling material being an electric charge controlling resin comprising a polymer which is compatible with the fixing resin, a molecular-weight distribution of the polymer resembling a molecular-weight distribution of a weight-average molecular weight of not more than 20,000 in the molecular-weight distribution of the fixing resin, and a group corresponding to a quaternary ammonium salt being contained at the side chain of the polymer. This toner is superior in charging properties, fixing properties, offset resistance and strength, because a resin having a quaternary ammonium salt group is used as the electric charge controlling material.

摘要: The present invention provides a toner 1 for non-magnetic one-components developments to be used for a method for non-magnetic one-component contact type development, wherein an apparent density is not less than 0.32 g/cc and when supplying to a developing roller 2 immediately after the consumption at the black solid part, a charged amount is not less than 7 .mu.C/g at an absolute value. This toner is suitable for using in combination with an organic photoconductor and can prevent that a residual image of the black solid part is remained at the half tone part immediately after the development of the black solid part.
