    摘要: An apparatus and method for igniting combustible materials in a combustion chamber of a combustion engine using corona discharge plasma from a coaxial cavity resonator. This system and method uses a coaxial cavity resonator in a body adapted to mate with a combustion chamber of a combustion engine. The coaxial cavity resonator is coupled with an energy shaping means that develops the appropriate waveform for triggering radio frequency oscillations in the coaxial cavity resonator. A connection means on the apparatus allows for the apparatus to accept an electrical ignition stimulus from an electronic ignition control system. The coaxial cavity resonator develops corona discharge plasma at a discharge electrode when a sustained radio frequency oscillation results in a standing wave in the coaxial cavity resonator. The corona discharge plasma developed near the discharge electrode ignites the combustible materials in the combustion chamber of the combustion engine.

    摘要: A cervical isolation and delivery apparatus having a cervical cap removably connected to a syringe such that a bottom opening of the cervical cap is in communication with an internal chamber of the syringe. The syringe is an elongated hollow tube with an elongated rod slidable disposed within an internal chamber of the elongated hollow tube. The cervical cap is removably connected to an application end of the elongated hollow tube such that upon insertion of the apparatus into a patient's vagina, the cervical cap covers the patient's cervix while protecting the tissue surrounding the cervix. The patient's cervix is treated by placing medication, e.g., one or more therapeutic agents, in the elongated hollow tube such that the elongated rod is in an extended position, inserting the apparatus into a patient's vagina, positioning the cervical cap over the patient's cervix, and pushing the elongated rod through the internal chamber of the elongated hollow tube until it is in a retracted position, thereby expelling the medication from the internal chamber into and through the cervical cap and into contact with the patient's cervix. The cervical cap covers and isolates the cervix thereby preventing the medication from leaking from the cervical area and irritating surrounding tissue.

    摘要: Fuses for the potential transformers (PTs) in medium voltage switchgear are mounted in fuse assemblies which are reciprocated within the switchgear enclosure independently of the transformers they protect between a connected position in which the fuse assemblies engage stabs at the rear wall of the enclosure and a retracted position adjacent a door at the front of the enclosure through which the fuses are inserted and removed while the fuse assemblies remain within the enclosure. The fuse assemblies include insulative tubes having first releasable contacts at a distal end which engage the stabs and second releasable contacts which engage fixed contacts connected to the transformers and spaced from the rear wall. The insulative tubes are mounted on a carriage which reciprocates between the connected and retracted positions. An interlock prevents opening of the door except where the carriage is in the retracted position and blocks movement of the carriage with the door open. The carriage can be alternatively turned over so that it can serve a transformer mounted over or under the fuse assembly, or two units, one having a connection facing upward and the other having its connection facing downward, can be inserted between an upper and lower transformer.

    摘要: An improved design for an electrical insulated "through" boot for a bare joint area formed by two electrical conductors made of a molded member arranged longitudinally around the joint area and having a main body portion with opposed flap members. Each flap member is coextensive with the main body portion and has a distal end. When the molded member is arranged around the joint area, the distal end of each flap member is wrapped around each other in an overlapping manner to form a seal and to enclose the joint area. The ends of the boot can be secured in place by clamps or wire ties. The boot is easily removed without being destroyed for maintenance of the conductors and is therefore reusable. A further embodiment is for a tee boot which has a perpendicular leg which slips over the riser and which has the opposed flap members which are overlapped over the joint area of the bus bars, and a still further embodiment is for a spout boot which involves two pieces wherein one piece is inserted into the other for the overlapping feature around the joint area. Further embodiments provide an end boot and an end cap boot which also increase the creepage distance for the current leakage to prevent breakdown of the voltage source.
