Abstract:
A valve system automatically controlled by an expanding/contracting material and method of dispersing fluid through valve system are provided. The expanding/contracting material may be a hydrophilic material, wherein providing fluid to the hydrophilic material causes it to expand and constrict a hose or tubes dispersing fluid to a designated area. The constriction of the hose or tubes prevents fluid from coming into contact with the hydrophilic material allowing for the hydrophilic material to dry and contract, thereby releasing the pressure from the hose or tubes.
Abstract:
The instant device is a portable security alarm unit. It is made up of a housing component containing control electronics, powered by an external power source, a back-up battery connected to the control electronics and wiring that connects the control electronics and/or battery to external accessories such as motion sensors, a siren, a temperature sensor and to a motion sensor and keyboard built into the frontally located walling of the housing component. There is also a slidable panel component that slides on tracks built into extensions of the roofing and flooring of the housing component such that the slidable panel component is capable of covering completely at any one time either the keyboard or motion sensor both of which are built in adjacent one another into the frontally located walling of the instant device's housing component.
Abstract:
An inflatable structure for painting aircraft, comprised of a front chamber and a rear chamber. An aircraft can be positioned within the structure. Air vents within the structure create a positive pressure environment within the structure for removing paint fumes and preventing dirt or contaminants from entering the structure.
Abstract:
A Shipboard Multi-tool. The Multi-tool includes a pair of groups of tools that are individually-extendable from the handle in order to allow the Multi-tool to operate a plurality of different shipboard mechanisms with a single assembly. One group of extendable tools includes spanner and box wrenches. Another group of extendable tools includes key-type wrenches. The individual extendable wrenches are lockable in a variety of angular positions relative to the handle to provide the user with several configurations with which to use the wrenches. The locking mechanisms are operable by depressing a spring-loaded push-button.
Abstract:
An improved system and method for applying a spray-on bed-liner to a truck bed is herein disclosed. An inflatable bed-liner booth can comprise an inflatable frame, a roof, a floor, a plurality of wall sections, one or more air inlets, a plurality of air vents, an entry port, and one or more exhaust panels. The inflatable frame can comprise a plurality of vertical supports. The roof at the top of the inflatable frame. The floor at the bottom of the inflatable frame. The wall sections can be defined by at least one of the inflatable frame, the roof, and the floor.
Abstract:
Systems and methods can provide for fiber node discovery using ranging delay data for broadband communication infrastructure. In some implementations, such systems and methods can provide for determining and storing fiber node ranging delay windows. In other implementations, such systems and methods can also provide for using ranging delay data from CPE devices to ascertain the associated fiber node. Improved diagnosis and discovery of fiber node associated CPE devices can, for example, help operators plan maintenance and thereby reduce truck rolls.
Abstract:
Redistribution of network capacity in a network having a plurality of base stations is contemplated. The redistribution may include reallocating or otherwise reusing primary channels assigned to the plurality base stations to increase capacity proximate one or more of the base stations. The network capacity may be increased in this manner without having to add new base stations.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for producing a finned tube comprises the step of securing a tube to a tube clamping device. The method also comprises the step of arranging a plurality of cutters within the cutter head, wherein the cutters rotate with the cutter head. The method also comprises a step of moving the cutter heads into position around the tube and rotating the cutters around an outside surface of the tube in order to cut fins, via the removal of material, into the outside surface of the tube. The removal of the material also will allow for a very thin inner wall to be arranged underneath the fins being cut therein. This methodology will allow for a very light weight, thermally efficient finned tube to be used to produce a heat exchanger for use in turbine engines or the like.
Abstract:
A method of polishing objects using an apparatus comprised of a rotary positioning device comprising a turret; a base mounted on the turret; a drive wheel connected to a rotatable shaft, the drive wheel having a perimeter, and the rotatable shaft disposed in a housing. The polishing wheel assembly may include an elongated arm including a proximal end joined to the base, and a distal end; a rotatable polishing wheel supported at the end of the elongated arm; and a polishing belt comprising an inner surface and an outer surface, the inner surface engageable with the perimeters of the drive wheel and the polishing wheel. The method is comprised of contacting the outer surface of the polishing belt to a contact region of the surface of the object; and controlling the contact region by rotating the elongated arm around the turret axis.
Abstract:
A branched sulfopolyester mixture useful in adhesive and personal care product formulations. The branched sulfopolyester mixture includes: I) from about 65 to about 95 weight % of a branched water-dispersible polyester; and II) from about 5 to about 35 weight % of an alcohol. The branched sulfopolyester mixture is pourable at room temperatures.
