    摘要: An image reader apparatus includes: an image pickup device which is controllably exposed to an object to produce an image signal of the object; a mover which moves the object and the image pickup device relative to each other; a storage operable to store an image signal; a writing device which is operable to write an image signal in the storage; a reading device which is operable to read an image signal from the storage; a discriminator which discriminates whether one of the writing device and the reading device is in operation; and a controller which controls the exposure of the image pickup device in accordance with a result of the discriminator.

    摘要: An electrophotographic photoreceptor comprising a conductive substrate having provided thereon a photosensitive layer, wherein said photosensitive layer contains, as charge transporting material (i) at least one triarylamine compound represented by formula (I) ##STR1## wherein the definition of Ar.sub.1, Ar.sub.2 are described in the present specification; and (ii) at least one benzidine compound represented by formula (II) ##STR2## wherein the definition of R.sub.1, R.sub.1 ', R.sub.2, R.sub.2 ', R.sub.3, R.sub.3 ', m and n is described in the specification. The photoreceptor maintains its electrical characteristics stably on repeated use.

    摘要: In a case separating apparatus, wherein groups of cases arranged in rows on a carrying conveyor and supported by a supporting device, are moved to an unloading device where a row of groups of cases are unloaded onto a separating apparatus where the bottom-most cases of each row are separated from the remaining cases in the groups, the improvement wherein an elevating conveyor is provided in the separating apparatus with a device for slowing the speed of vertical movement of the elevating conveyor at the positions where the groups of cases are held and where the separation occurs and for accelerating the speed of the elevating conveyor in between the two positions, whereby the impact and noise of holding and separating of the case from the group of cases are reduced.
