摘要: An audio jack connector includes a housing and a terminal group. The housing has an insertion hole extending inward from the front of the housing. The bottom of the base defines at least one signal terminal recess and an auxiliary terminal recess, a first aperture is defined in the bottom of the auxiliary terminal recess and communicates with the signal terminal recess. The terminal group has at least one signal terminal and an auxiliary terminal received in the signal terminal recess and the auxiliary terminal recess respectively. The signal terminal has a contact portion projecting into the insertion hole and an elastic portion extending from the end of the contact portion. The auxiliary terminal has a transverse fixed portion and a first connecting portion extending upward and then longitudinally from one end of the fixed portion. One part of the first connecting portion is jammed in the first aperture, and the other part of the first connecting portion projects into the signal terminal recess.

摘要: The present invention takes the advantage of the wireless local area network (WLAN) resources in hotspots for voice and data connections and enables seamless handover between wireless wide area network (WWAN) and WLAN and vice versa, thus achieving cost savings for the end users and WWAN resources savings for the wireless operators. According to one embodiment of the invention, a mobile terminal having WWAN and WLAN interfaces establishes a WWAN call with a called mobile terminal via a WWAN. If a WLAN is present, the mobile terminal sends a handover request together with its network address to the called mobile terminal, using a short message service (SMS) technique or a watermarking technique, for initiating a WLAN call with the called mobile terminal via a WLAN. After the WLAN call is established with the called mobile terminal, the mobile terminal releases the WWAN call.

摘要: Apparatus and methods for managing communication system resources are disclosed. Based on status information received from a resource itself or from other sources, an operational status of a maintenance resource to perform a predetermined maintenance operation on a target communication system resource, for example, may be determined. Access to use resources in performing operations may also be controlled. Resource access is granted or denied based on an availability status of a resource. Other parameters such as relative priorities of a new request to use a resource and a current operation for which access to use the resource was previously granted may also be used in determining whether to grant access to use a resource. A resource may be reclaimed for a higher priority operation for instance. Redundant or alternate resources may also be identified where a resource is not operational or otherwise not available.

摘要: Apparatus and methods for communication system-level communication link bonding are disclosed. Multiple communication links provided by transceivers in communication link termination modules are configured as a bonding group to support an aggregate group communication traffic rate on another communication link. Through an internal communication mechanism in communication equipment, communication traffic received on the other communication link is distributed among those of the communication link termination modules which include transceivers for transferring communication traffic on the communication links in the bonding group. The bonding module also receives, from communication link termination modules, communication traffic to be sent on the other communication link.

摘要: In a time division multiplex access asynchronous transfer mode wireless network wherein network interface units (NIUs) are connected to a base transceiver station (BTS) by way of a radio frequency (RF) wireless link comprising time slots which are grouped into frames, there is presently no method or apparatus to allow dynamic bandwidth allocation while maintaining a minimum bandwidth allocation to NIUs. Using a combined Guaranteed Bandwidth Allocation (GBA) scheme with a Dynamic Bandwidth Allocation (DBA) scheme, a configurable number of time slots can be permanently assigned to an NIU using GBA while the NIU can request additional timeslots using DBA. Using a queue occupancy threshold and a queuing delay threshold, the DBA scheme takes into account the GBA time slots which have been allocated, so that time slots are not unnecessarily requested by an NIU. At the BTS level, a time slot manager utilizes a frame look ahead procedure to allocate time slots based on the queue occupancy forwarded from the NIU. Additionally, a configurable parameter is defined which reflects the level of traffic in an NIU, to allow pro rated allocation of time slots.
