    摘要: The invention is directed to improvement of a write element of a thin film magnetic head. In said write element, a first coil and a second coil are provided on a first insulating film formed on one surface of a first magnetic film and surround in a spiral form a back gap portion. A second yoke portion in the upper position comprises a wide portion, a narrow portion and a sloping flare portion. The wide portion has a flat surface and is connected to the first magnetic film by a back gap portion at the rear of the medium-facing surface. The narrow portion forms the second pole portion and the surface of the narrow portion being at a lower position than the surface of the wide portion. The sloping flare portion extends from the narrow portion to the wide portion, gradually increasing in width and its surface sloping upward away from the surface of the narrow portion to the surface of the wide portion.

    摘要: In a toroidal type continuously variable transmission, first pivot shafts provided on both ends of first trunnions are supported within support holes formed in yokes secured to an inner surface of a casing. The support portions are provided with ball splines and radial needle bearings. During operation, loads acting on the first trunnions are canceled within the yokes. Axial displacements and rocking displacements of the first trunnions are effected smoothly by the ball splines and the radial needle bearings.

    摘要: A concentrated constant, non-reciprocal device comprising a permanent magnet for applying a DC magnetic field to a ferrimagnetic body, an assembly in which at least a part of a plurality of center conductors one end of which serves as a common terminal and the other of which serves as a first input/output terminal is wound on or embedded in the ferrimagnetic body, a plurality of second input/output terminals, a plurality of impedance converting circuits connected between the second input/output terminals and the first input/output terminals, respectively, and a plurality of load capacitors connected between the first input/output terminals and the common terminals, respectively. The input impedance Zi of the corresponding first input/output terminal at the operating center frequency and an external impedance Zo connected with the corresponding second input/output terminal satisfy 0.05≦Zi/Zo≦0.9. As a result, it is possible to provide a small concentrated constant circulator/isolator of a wide band width having excellent electric characteristics.

    摘要: A manufacturing method is provided for manufacturing thin film magnetic heads through the use of a thin-film magnetic head material, the head material including: a plurality of rows of head-to-be sections to be thin-film magnetic heads; an inter-row cutting section provided to be a position at which adjacent ones of the rows are to be separated; and an intra-row cutting section provided to be a position at which adjacent ones of the head-to-be sections in each of the rows are to be separated. The method includes the steps of: fabricating the head material including: a detection element for detecting an amount of processing on the head material, an electrode formed in the inter-row cutting section for electrically connecting the detection element to an external device, and a conductor for electrically connecting the electrode to the detection element; performing a specific processing on the head material while monitoring an output signal of the detection element; forming a head aggregate including one of the rows of the head-to-be sections by separating the head material having gone through the processing at the inter-row cutting section; and forming the thin-film magnetic heads by separating the head aggregate at the intra-row cutting section.

To achieve the object, a continuous scanning deflector and a scan limiter are added to a variable forming type electron beam column and the drawing is performed such that a state in which the electron beam is limited by the scan limiter is continuous to a state in which the electron beam is irradiated on a face of a sample. According to this structure, the number of deflection awaiting and the connection error between shots are reduced and further, a high-speed and highly accurate drawing of a 45° slanted figure is made possible.

Each of the radial needle roller bearings includes: an outer race interposed between an outer peripheral surface of the pivot shaft and an inner peripheral surface of the circular hole of the support plate, the outer race having an outer peripheral surface formed in a spherically convex surface; and a plurality of needle rollers respectively disposed on the inside diameter side of the outer race. The outer race is formed with an inwardly facing flange portion on the inner peripheral surface of the end portion thereof.
