摘要： A mounting assembly is described for mounting and housing printhead modules. The mounting assembly includes a lower plate, an upper plate and multiple mounting blocks. The lower plate can include openings configured to expose a surface of a printhead module housed within the mounting assembly, the surface including multiple ink nozzle openings. Each opening can include alignment datums to align the printhead module in a first direction and in a second direction. The upper plate is approximately parallel to the lower plate, and can include multiple openings configured to provide access to ink channels formed in printhead modules housed within the mounting assembly. The mounting blocks are positioned between and affixed to the lower and upper plates, and are configured to couple to a printhead module. Each mounting block can include a datum to align the printhead module in a third direction.

摘要： An electrostatic color printer method using a single toning shoe for successively and sequentially applying color liquid developers to a color latent image overlay to a sheet disposed against a rotating drum. An electrostatic head scans the sheet in a helical pattern of abutting stripes and forms the latent image on the sheet. A toning shoe assembly follows the head and applies one of the color developers to the sheet. A drain selector foot, pivotable beneath the toning shoe, brings an appropriate developer recycling tube into communication with a drain in the toning shoe assembly for returning used developer to the correct supply tank. After scanning the sheet, the toning shoe is rinsed with a solvent at a cleaning station past the end of the drum. The toning shoe has a plurality of pressure responsive reed valves, each communicating with one of a plurality of channels in the shoe for selecting sequential color developers until the entire image is toned in repeated passes of the single toning shoe.

摘要： A fluid ejector includes a fluid ejection module and an integrated circuit element. The fluid ejection module includes a substrate having a plurality of fluid paths, a plurality of actuators, and a plurality of conductive traces, each actuator configured to cause a fluid to be ejected from a nozzle of an associated fluid path. The integrated circuit element is mounted on the fluid ejection module and is electrically connected with the conductive traces of the fluid ejection module such that an electrical connection of the module enables a signal sent to the fluid ejection module to be transmitted to the integrated circuit element, processed on the integrated circuit element, and output to the fluid ejection module to drive the actuator.

摘要： A fluid ejector includes a fluid ejection assembly, a housing, and an insert. The fluid ejection assembly includes one or more silicon bodies and a plurality of actuators. The one or more silicon bodies includes a silicon body having a plurality of fluid passages for fluid flow and a plurality of nozzles fluidically connected to the plurality of fluid passages. The plurality of actuators cause fluid in the plurality of fluid passages to be ejected from the plurality of nozzles. The housing assembly includes one or more plastic bodies, at least one plastic body attached to at least one silicon body to form a sealed volume on a side of the fluid ejection assembly opposite the nozzles. The insert is embedded in the at least one plastic body in proximity to the at least one silicon body, the insert having a coefficient of thermal expansion of less than 9 ppm/° C.
