    摘要: A method of manufacturing a terminal block for a telecommunication cable is disclosed, which includes providing a preformed substrate member comprising an elongated podium member having a plurality of wire receiving slots on an outer edge of the podium member and a plurality of electrical connector slots positioned within the podium member, wherein the plurality of wire receiving slots are arranged in pairs having a first and a second wire receiving slot, which are configured to receive one wire each of a pair of insulated electrical wires, an electrical connector in each of the plurality of electrical connector slots, each electrical connector having a pair of electrical contacts extending therefrom, and at least one insulated electrical wire attached to a first end of each of the electrical contacts; placing the substrate member in a mold; and injecting a dielectric material by a force of greater than 1 g into the mold.

    摘要: A method of manufacturing a terminal block for a telecommunication cable comprising the steps of providing a mold having a first half and a second half, each forming a respective body cavity configured to form a terminal block and configured to receive a substrate comprising a plurality of openings adapted to receive an insulated electrical contact. A plurality of projections extend from the first half into the cavity, wherein the plurality of projections are adapted to remove a portion of insulation from the electrical contact positioned within each of the openings. The substrate is positioned in the mold and the insulated electrical contact is inserted into each of the openings. The mold is closed such that the plurality of projections remove a portion of the insulation from the insulated electrical contact upon closing of the mold. A dielectric material is then injected into the mold containing the substrate and insulated electrical contact to form a terminal block. The terminal block is removed from the mold, wherein the plurality of projections form a socket adapted to receive an electrical connector.

    摘要: The electrical connector assembly includes a first pair of contact members, each comprising a first termination end and a first connection end. A second pair of contact members, each comprising a second termination end and a second connection end, wherein the first connection end and the second connection end are in contact. A connector having a pair of wire receiving passages movable between a first position in which a pair of wires are held apart from the second termination end and a second position in which the pair of wires are inserted into the second termination end. The connector is capable of removing the pair of wires from the second termination end and reinserting the pair of wires into the second termination end. A surge arrestor can be provided to protect the connector from over-voltage or over-current to the system.
