摘要: An electric wire with a terminal includes: an electric wire including a conductor portion having conductivity and an insulator portion which covers the outside of the conductor portion and has a cut away or tapered portion at its leading face; a terminal connection portion electrically connected to a counterpart terminal; a conductor crimp portion crimped to the conductor portion; and a sheath crimp portion separated from the conductor crimp portion and crimped to the insulator portion. The sheath crimp portion includes a second base portion on which the insulator portion is mounted and a second barrel piece portion crimped with the insulator portion wrapped. In the insulator portion, the distance from an end on the conductor crimp portion side to the conductor crimp portion is relatively short, and the distance from an end on the conductor crimp portion side to the conductor crimp portion is relatively long.

摘要: A workstation and method for the installation of a pulling head assembly onto one or more conductors of a cabling system are provided. The workstation incorporates one or more of: a conductor clamp that holds the conductors of the cabling system in place during the installation of the pulling head assembly; a cutting guide having indicia marks that indicate the lengths to which to cut the conductors in order to achieve a staggered pattern of pulling eyes attached to the conductors in the pulling head assembly; a stripping tool that is used to remove a portion of the insulation from the terminal end of each conductor so that the end of the conductor may be inserted into the pulling eye; and a crimping tool that is used to crimp the pulling eyes onto the terminal ends of each of the conductors.

摘要: An automatic-robotic-system-for-cable assembly system and method is provided. The method and system are configured to use a cartridge which holds one or both ends of the cable. The cartridge moves along an automatic cable assembly line, with the line segmented into different stages, at which a process is performed by a specific machine. Different machines, such as actuators or modular machines, perform operations on the cartridge at the different stages. In preparation for or as part of the operations, the actuators or modular machines may apply one or more forces to the cartridge, causing one or more of the following to occur: moving an end of the cartridge to a modular machine, rotating an end of the cable, tipping the ends of the cable, etc. In this way, use of the cartridge enables the automatic assembly of the cables held in the cartridge.

摘要: A method for manufacturing a terminal with an electric wire includes: forming a conductor exposed portion by removing a resin coating of an electric wire; forming a wire-terminal connection portion by connecting a terminal fitting to a position of the conductor exposed portion; supplying a sealing material made of ultraviolet-curing resin from a nozzle to form a sealing portion covering the wire-terminal connection portion; and curing the sealing material by irradiation with ultraviolet rays from a UV light. During curing of the sealing material, a reflector is used to allow the ultraviolet rays to be reflected toward the sealing material supplied to the wire-terminal connection portion.
