The sizing composition may be applied to fibers used to reinforce polymer compositions. Fiber reinforced composite materials that include reinforcing fibers sized with the sizing composition exhibit improved physical properties, particularly after the fiber reinforced composite material has experience prolonged exposure to heat and water.

摘要： A hybrid reinforcing fabric includes glass fibers and carbon fibers. The hybrid reinforcing fabric can be readily infused at an acceptable infusion speed, without requiring that the carbon fiber tows used to form the hybrid reinforcement fabric be spread or pre-impregnated with resin. 摘要： An aqueous binder composition is disclosed that includes 5.0% by weight to 50.0% by weight of a monomeric polyol having at least four hydroxyl groups, based on the total solids content of the aqueous binder composition; and at least 50.0% by weight of a cross-linking agent comprising a polymeric polycarboxylic acid having at least two carboxylic acid groups, based on the total solids content of the aqueous binder composition. The aqueous binder composition includes a ratio of molar equivalents of carboxylic acid groups to hydroxyl groups is between 0.15/1.0 and 2.23/1 and has a pH of 2.2 to 4.0 and a viscosity at 40% solids and 25° C. of 10 cP to 60 cP.

摘要： A shingle coating asphalt composition is provided that is produced from a paving grade asphalt. The asphalt composition comprises a paving-grade asphalt that has been modified with one or more polymer additives; and a secondary additive comprising one or more of a viscosity reducing agent, a wax, a salt of a fatty acid ester, and an amide of a fatty acid. The shingle coating asphalt coating composition is used to make a shingle. The shingle includes a substrate, the asphalt, and roofing granules.
