Abstract:
A screen is described wherein one end of the screen frame is provided with an upwardly open channel profile and the other end with a similar but downwardly open channel profile, such that the outboard edge of an upwardly open profile will fit within the channel of a downwardly open profile provided along the edge of an adjoining screen frame, to enable two such screens to be connected together and to enable linear movement in a direction generally perpendicular to the line of engagement and generally in the plane of at least one of the two screens, to be transmitted from one screen frame to the other. The engagement of one profile by another also serves to close the gap between the two screen frames and prevent at least particulate material from passing therebetween. Preferably the engagement prevents liquid from passing therebetween. The engagement may comprise a lost motion connection so as to permit one frame to be hingeable relative to the other about the connection, but still provides a reliable force-transmitting connection to enable a rear screen frame to be removed from the support structure simply by pulling out the front frame of the pair.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a filter device (10) for filtering a liquid, in particular a hydraulic oil, having a substantially cylindrical filter housing (12), which accommodates a filter element (30) and can be closed off by means of a cover (18), the filter element (30) having an associated untreated region (70) with an inlet (22) for supplying liquid which is to be filtered and a clean region (74) with an outlet (26) for removing filtered liquid, and the filter element (30) comprising an end plate (58) which is remote from the cover (18) and on which there is mounted a radially acting sealing element (62) for sealing the untreated region (70) of the filter element (30). To develop a filter device of this type in such a manner that it can be produced at lower cost and can be assembled more easily, according to the invention it is proposed that the sealing element (62) comprises a radially protruding sealing lip (64) which bears against the inner side of the filter housing (12) and is inclined toward the untreated region (70) of the filter element (30).
Abstract:
The prevent invention provides an oil filter comprising a filter element housed in a casing, the filter element being formed of two or more cylindrical element pieces piled on top of another in the height direction and attachably and detachably connected through connecting members. Accordingly, the efficiency in each of manufacture, stock control and storage of the filter element can be improved, and the cost can be also reduced.

Abstract:
A water filter includes a casing in which active carbon, foam material or ceramic is received. An end cap is connected to the casing and an outlet is defined through the end cap. A removable member is connected to the end cap by a plurality of connection plates. The removable member has to be removed before the filter is installed and the connection plates are broken during removing the removable member.
Abstract:
A fastening strip for fastening a filter cloth against the filter surface of a solid-liquid separator. The solid-liquid separator comprises at least one filter element provided with a fastening groove for the fastening strip. The filter cloth is fastened to the filter element by means of the fastening strip, whose fastening portion is inserted into the fastening groove. The fastening strip is an elongated piece having a substantially T-shaped cross section and comprising a fastening portion and a support portion transverse to the fastening portion. The support portion provides a protective edging that extends to a distance from the edges of the fastening groove.
Abstract:
A screen assembly for a vibratory separator, the screen assembly including a first screen assembly, a frame to which is mounted screening material, at least one seal member on the frame for sealing contact against a second screen assembly. A unibody structure for a first screen assembly for a vibratory separator, the unibody structure having an integral body member with a portion having a plurality of spaced-apart openings therethrough defining a pattern of a plurality of spaced-apart screening openings, the integral body member including side portions foldable to form a pair of spaced-apart integral side members, and at least one seal member on the integral body member for sealing contact of the unibody structure with another item.
Abstract:
A housing for an automotive oil filter element has a cylindrical wall closed at one end by an integral base; the base includes a standard-sized threaded orifice for mating the housing to an existing lubricating-oil connection on an engine. Another end of the housing is closed by a removable end cap held in place against the housing by a spring clamp which is pressed into engagement with locking lugs spaced around an outer perimeter of the housing. A gasket having two sealing surfaces forms a seal between end cap and housing. Pushing the shoulders of the spring clamp toward the cap causes the ends of the spring clamp to be moved outward by a ramped band, disengaging the clamp ends from the locking lugs and allowing the clamp ends to be pulled outward, releasing the end cap for removal.
Abstract:
A water filter has a side wall member provided with an inflow port and an outflow port and has a cartridge mounting base, which is turnably borne to the near-bottom part of said side wall member; and a cartridge is detachably installed in said side wall member on said cartridge mounting base in a manner that the inflow port of said side wall member and the inflow port of said cartridge are connected and further the outflow port of said side wall member and the outflow port of said cartridge are connected.
Abstract:
A fluid filtration apparatus is disclosed particularly usable with a perforate tubular fluid conduit as normally used for filtration of cleaning fluids and the like wherein the filtration apparatus includes a plurality of filter elements being generally cylindrical and defining a central channel therethrough to be adapted to receive the fluid conduit extending therebetween. Also included are a plurality of gasket assemblies positionable between adjacent filter elements to minimize passage of cleaning fluid therethrough to facilitate cleansing of the fluid. An outer retainer is utilized for compressing the individual filter element against the filter gaskets in such a manner as to provide a continuous filtration media along the entire length of the tubular fluid conduit and to prevent outlets for fluid emanating therefrom without passage through filtration media.
