摘要： A self-propelled vehicle is provided for use in transporting poultry loaded in a wheeled multi-tier cage from a first location to a second location, such as through the tight confines of a poultry house. The apparatus has a gripper assembly for releasably laterally engaging and disengaging one end of the cage above its fixed wheels and a lifter assembly disposed below the gripper assembly for selectively raising and lowering the cage adjacent its fixed wheels. The apparatus also has self-propelled drive wheels enabling linear and pivotal translation of the apparatus and cage along a support surface, such as the floor of the poultry house. Accordingly, the cage can be coupled to the apparatus and decoupled therefrom for efficient transportation of live poultry within a poultry house. A method of moving live poultry within a poultry house is also provided.

摘要： There is provided a cart for lifting and moving materials. The cart includes a lift mechanism for raising and lowering a support surface to lift the materials during transport. The cart also includes a motorized drive wheel assembly which provides a drive force in a forward or backward direction to assist the operator in moving the materials. The motorized drive wheel assembly has a variable vertical position relative to the cart wheels to enable the drive wheels to provide a drive force over contoured surfaces, such as near the base or top of a ramp. The motorized drive wheel assembly also includes a weight to maintain a minimum normal force for traction and includes a differential to allow the drive wheels to rotate at differing speeds to facilitate convenient steering of the cart. The cart is powered by one or more rechargeable batteries.

摘要： The installation of equipment such as large medical autoclaves requires movement of the equipment from the palletized shipping container to the final installation point in a typically medical facility. In the past, methods used to move the equipment involved major dis-assembly of the associated piping, electrical, and control components typically found inside and adjacent to the equipment. Once the unit was stripped of external components, the main portion of the unit would be jacked and blocked until it was free of the shipping pallet. It would then be moved by devices not intended for moving medical equipment. The aforementioned methods were commonly time-consuming, prone to damage the equipment, and presented safety hazards to the installation contractors. The following claim describes a device, hereafter known as “Glaser Transport” that is designed for controlled lifting, moving, and lowering of large equipment, typically medical autoclaves, medical sterilizers, and other large non-typical equipment. The goal of the “Glaser Transport” is to provide a safe and effective method of lifting, moving, and lowering large, unwieldy equipment of over 500 pounds.

摘要： A mobile lifting table having a pivoting tabletop is claimed. A support frame is attached to the base of a cart having a plurality of wheels. A support arm attached to the frame on one end is pivotally attached to a tabletop. The tabletop is in turn pivotally attached to a control arm which raises and lowers the tabletop from an inclined position for loading and carrying materials, to a horizontal position for maneuvering and unloading said material. The control arm is also attached to an operator controlled electric hoist via a pulley system and cable, which translates a force generated by said hoist to said control arm, thus raising and lowering said control arm and causing the tabletop to raise or lower as the operator so desires. The tabletop includes a means for rolling the material across the table such that said material is easily maneuverable by the operator.

Rotation of the dowels urges the corresponding threaded connector to move along the dowel, and each threaded connector is pivotably connected to a corresponding lever arm. In operation, the wheel jack is placed under a tire, the axles are raised to engage the wheel so as to lift the wheel off its corresponding wheel mount, and then the wheel is removed from a motor vehicle.

The carriage can be raised from a low position on the base platform to an elevated position by operating a hand cranked winch with a crank handle rotatable about an axle located proximate to a hand grip on the chassis rails and parallel to the axis of the wheels. The positioning and orientation of the crank handle allows correct ergonomic use by an operator who can grip the trolley chassis with one hand while controlling and operating the crank handle in an ergonomically sound position.
